While I agree he needs to stop complaining to the refs so much, that article is dogshit and the writer is an idiot.

He hasn't been diving since his rookie year.
He does go down a lot & the refs clearly don't want to hear him whining to them so much.

He goes down a lot because he's still very young and is still building his balance/strength, and he's routinely getting checked while skating with the puck at high speed.

He's not embellishing anymore. It was obvious when he was doing it during his rookie year and it'll take some time before that label gets removed from him, but he hasn't been diving for a long time now.

I didn't read the article because as you pointed out it was a dog shit article and I figured it would be. You're right, he's not going down much anymore but he's got to stop looking at the refs every time he gets touched.

Btw....I had something funny happen yesterday. We're typically at odds on this site. Yesterday I liked one of your posts in the GDT. The site asked me to "confirm" that I wanted to like your post. What's liking been around? 5 years? I don't remember ever being asked to confirm a like before. It was like HF was asking....wait now JD, do you really want to like a Hale post. I just thought it was funny that it happened on something you posted

I wish I had your foresight on this one, that article was indeed absolute trash...

Holy cow...PPG while looking a little off after 3 games yet the insights are on full blast.

He has been fine. More physical, more engaged defensively and those non calls will be penalties for most of the season.

Cripes, the guy is a stud, just appreciate him. Nitpicking this stuff right now is outrageous.
If you’re a superstar you’re gonna be nitpicked. Make 8 million dollars gonna get nitpicked. Chest la vie

Most likely because he whines to them too much & they are people too & don't want to listen to him. They should have called that one, but they also let some go. I think it balances out over a season, but if this team whines to the refs too much that will only go against them.
There are rules. The refs should call the game by the rules. That’s why they’re rules

When has that ever happened? They manage the game, always have, not sure if it will ever change.

I agree they manage the game and always have.

But that check that Ridley thru on DeBrincat just bowled him right over and was clean. If the PP doesn't happen, and it shouldn't have, we likely go into the intermission up 1.

That was a game changing call imo, at a point where the game was physical but not out of hand.

Completely agree, given the situation my guess is that they didn't want things to get out of hand & that's what I mean by managing the game to try & keep it under control. We also see calls go against one team a little more when they are up a couple of goals almost like they are trying to make the game more competitive. It probably isn't true but at times it sure feels like it.

He makes too many low-reward high-risk passes, leading to turnovers and opposition goals :-(
It was G who made the blind backhand pass leading to the Isles 3rd goal.

If anything, Stu was in his own head on the pass to G. He would normally shoot that.

they need to keep stutzle and brady away from each other.

they bring out the worst of each other.

you can't win when you stack a top line and that top line proceeds to not play like a team.
