That was a decade and half ago. Pretty acceptable for some fans to forget the last time it happened when working with that timeline. Also this is some fans first time possibly seeing a player potentially hitting 40 goals in Stützle and hopefully down the line 100 points.
The Sens have been lacking in elite offensive talent for longer than the fans deserved thats for sure.

I didn't expect Tim to turn into a high end goal scorer.
I thought his career peak would be like 30 goals 60 assists.
Now his career peak looks like it will be around 55 goals 65 assists. I'm accounting for the NHL being higher scoring than it's been for decades.

Don't forget about Greig! Then add in Jarvi and Kleven.
They are all on different paths and timelines but the first 5 picks of that draft could be core players for the Senators for years.
Hell, we could go all the way to first 7 picks with Soks and then Levi although Soks I think is in tough but could potentially be a bottom 6 player.
It's pretty crazy how that 1 draft could provide us a legit starting line-up. Even Reinhart will probably get a few more games as an energy guy before all is said and done.

He has 25 points after a pretty hot start, playing on the 3rd highest scoring team in the league. Nothing against him and would have been a pretty cool story for him and Stu to play together but Jarvi was known to be on a longer development path.
Let's see where they are in a couple of years. Jarvi moving to C in the AHL is intriguing and we are seeing his impressive shot being more effective every game. He has scored the same number of goals as last year in about 1/3 of the games.

Hey man, I'm not saying anything about Järventie as player. He could be great. No attacks on him or saying bad things and waving my fist in the air.
The only thing I meant by the statement is exactly what I wrote. It will always be my first thought when I see his name. That Timmy JJ duo was nasty at the WJC w/o Reichel. Seeing them team up in the show would have been neat.
