Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Yep, if you happened to have 20 seats in your account when they added a limit, you would have been grandfathered in. Most of those guys are brokers though
I have six right now...when I first had tickets in 2000 it was 4 and I believe they changed it to 6 in 06...I asked if I could go to 8 but they said not in the price range I'm in now...I would have to go into the 100 sections for an extra 2
I assume half season and mini plans don't come out until the schedule is released in order to split up the games somewhat equally, but does anyone know how long after/how long before the season starts these become available?

When I had talked to my buddy's rep during the season, I was told that they sold mini-plans last season as bar-stool seating. (I had asked about their availability). That would explain the 200 level seating... The 100-level seating is overpriced, and thus was plentiful.

Poster on here I know had a half season plan last year in 208. Year before he had a 10 game plan in the old 200's and finally this year he was able to get full seasons in 208. I don't know what availability MSG is putting out there for some of you guys but he got the pair the day everyone said there was only singles left in the add a seat round.
I had a mini-plan last year in 214. FWIW, my rep told me that bridge season wasn't open for season tickets, but would likely be offered for 1/2 season plans.

I found an awesome pair in section 113 row for a decent price but they would not sell it to me unless I took the seat next to it also...I told my rep I do not want 3 seats together, just the 2 together, the rep said no its all 3 seats or nothing, they can keep their 3 seats

Well my story as was already told here, only pair available was 208 row 1, after eeeeverybody an their uncles had already had their pick. If I am looking for season tickets again definitely working with another rep.
As long as demand for reasonably priced seats exceeds supply I guess one needs to get lucky to get some

I'd imagine they always want to avoid singles because those seats might be the reason for a non-sellout.

Yeah, for the typical ho-hum mid-week early season game they won't be able to sell those singles. Home opener, games during the holidays, games vs the Islanders / Penguins / etc.. they never have a problem selling no matter if it's 1 or 2
my friend is offering to split his pair of Rangers season tickets with me in one of the front rows of section 413. We would do a draft taking turns picking what games we get (20 games each) and go to the opener together and also split the playoffs.
My questions, 1 - are those good seats? 2 - I've never had a season plan before and $2009 seems a little steep, how easy is it to sell the games I'm not going to be going to?

They look ok to me for the price. Right under the bridges but doesn't seem to be obstructed. Big negative is there doesn't look to be any cup holders in row 1.
I don't think I'd want to be higher than row 3-4 though.

How many of the 20 games do you plan on going to? Regardless, I don't think you'll have an issue getting $100/pair when you can't make it. I'd do it.
1) Depends on the row. I'm in 413 Row 1. In general, as row number increases the view of the goal the Rangers shoot at twice deteriorates. Because of the rail, most of us in row 1 have to lean forward to see over it. This makes the fans in row 2 shift from left to right to see the goal between the heads of the fans in row 1. I cannot speak for row 3 as I've only sat in roes 1 & 2, not sure if the heads of those in row 2 obstruct the view of those in row 3. Next season is a question mark. They are cutting off the rail and part of the concrete wall and putting glass on top of it. I'm not sure those of us in row 1 will be able to see over the glass no matter how we sit, so if we must look thru glass, we likely will sit back in the seats which will be better for those in rows 2. Row 2 will probably have to look thru the glass at the goal. Row 3, according to virtual view, may be able to look over the glass.
2) I sell about half my tickets and last year I sold them all easily. I use ticketexchange and often post just a few days to a week before the game.
I had asked my rep earlier in the summer if there would be any changes to the front wall of the blue seats and this was the reply:
"During the final stage of the transformation this summer, the railing area fronting the Blue Seat level will be re-done as follows: The existing concrete upstand will be cut down to 1' -4", then topped by a glass railing along the entire front row up to 3' -0" (with 3' -6" glass guard at the bottom of an aisle). Think of the West Balcony look. This should allow a clear view (through glass) to the near end. The LED ribbon board which now hangs directly in front of the Level 9 concrete will also be replaced and re-hung lower (below the level of the new glass railing)."

Any non-obstructed 400's are pure gold. At $49 on the Rangers shoot 2x end you can't go wrong, and apparently even the back 2 rows @ $30 can now see the net after they jackhammered out the front row concrete and replaced it with plexi. I wonder if they'll now jack up the price on those after next season? You still can't see any of the scoreboard from back there though

schedule supposed to be out Wednesday, unless there are more delays on agreeing what to do about the players & the Olympics
Don't expect any box office sales for many many weeks
I've dealt with a few reps and they are always the same. Money talks. They can care less if you are a fan or really want something, etc.

To debunk the "just a business" idea:
So I debated revealing this because I feel it may anger some who wound up without tickets. I posted earlier about declining the first row gallery seats. I raised my concerns with my rep about not only price but downgrading in future years. I told him I really wanted to get my foot in the door so asked about singles, but none were available. The next morning, I wrote an e-mail asking if I purchased both halves of the season in half season plans w the markup if I could get STH rights. He called me and told me unfortunately that wasn't an option, but he would really try to get me a good half season plan, and that all of his customers that had half seasons last year got season tix this year, so I would be set up nicely for next year by buying a half plan. He called me back later that morning- a pair of row 2 galleries were available, and I immediately took them.
I chalk this up to luck, and to developing a good relationship with him. I called and emailed pretty often. I also used my work email for my account so he asked if my company would be interested in buying a summer intern event (WNBA game package), and I told him I would run it by the people upstairs and circulate it to friends at other companies. I don't think anyone ever bought it, but maybe he just appreciated the effort. Even at the point when he told me only the 1st row seats were available, I had nothing but good things to say about him. He was always super responsive, courteous, and just a friendly guy. I think he bumped me to the top of his list for my level (mini plan last year w a deposit down), based on our relationship.
My advice is to try to make some sort of connection with your rep. I didn't even start with this guy. The guy I started with got a promotion and was transferred, but I think he would have helped me as we'll bc we chatted for a while and it turns out we went to the same high school and just missed each other, as we graduated 4 years apart. Any sort of connection can help.
