 I wish. I'm in my 30s. Ways to go yet before retirement.

I accepted an offer for a new job a couple weeks ago and gave notice. But I still have two weeks to go here. So I'm kind of in limbo, and it feels weird.
Ah gotcha. I'm in my thirties as well. Left my first post college job after almost 10 years a while back and it was awkward, best thing I ever did though in a round about way though. Best of luck.

Good gravy you are old. In your thirties? Do you have to stay close to the bathroom at all times? Does someone have to chew your food for you? I can’t imagine ever getting that old.

I can’t f***ing sleep and it sucks.

But I’ll definitely be tired at 2:00 PM in the afternoon, no matter how many hours I wind up sleeping for.

I have a toddler, so I've been randomly sick a bunch recently too. Right now I get the fun experience of having Coxsackie hand, foot, and mouth disease.

It's been quite the crash course in epidemiology, finding out that kids still get bizarre diseases you thought we wiped out long ago.

Take croup for example. It sounds like something that nobody in the developed world has had since the 1850s, like scurvy or rickets or dropsy, but it is apparently still quite common. Naturally, my son had it a month ago.

Unless your fever is for more cowbell I hope you feel better fast.

Our household has been sick the entire month of March it feels like. Hope you have a quick recovery.

the fever was for french toast and maple syrup ... i feel fine otherwise....

sorry to hear about your family Billdo ...i should be wishing you a good recovery instead.

Heading to Kauai tomorrow. :thumbu: If I'm going to look like a vacationer from the mainland, I'm going to do it right.

@None Shall Pass

Ill head to Blue&Gold tonight. Hoping to see the Devs game on since its on ABC. Any specific drink or so i shouls be getting/doing there?
I made it to Blue and Gold.

As a dive bar enthusiast i can confirn that this is NOT the best dive in Manhattan. Johnnys in West Village still holds #1 spot.

This place isnt shady enough. Customers seem to be well-off kids. No sad spirits at the bar. Up beat college music playing too aint helping

Unfortunately that's the crowd there on a Saturday night. It's close to NYU (Which is how I started going back in like 2008), Cooper Union, and the New School too I think. Go on a weekday night!

I had a 102.6 fever this morning it's 101.2 right now. COVID test was negative so that's good I guess.

But it made me miss some gatherings today... pretty bummed about that.

Really thinking about cutting off a good and long time friend. I doubt they’ll care much, that’s if they even realize.

Actually, I have already at least paused this person as of tonight. I’m sure they probably don’t even know yet and probably would go months without knowing because heroin/fetanyl is a hell of a drug.

Ugh. That’s always tough. Substance abuse is at thr root of so many personal problems. Hopefully the person you are talking about will seek help at some point .
