Since I was around 16, when I can't sleep I listen to Hey You and Comfortably Numb back to back and I can usually fall asleep before Comfortably Numb is over...along with deep breathing.

I started doing it before big Football games and I have been doing ever since. It works.
Us and Them onward is more my speed for winding down. I also love Terminal Frost and Sorrow.

Never mind.

That was a borderline psychotic rant about obnoxiously loud people at night in the neighborhood.

I’ve cooled down a bit.

For now.

On a lighter, nicer note about the neighborhood, my friend from Jersey's grandparents moved on the other block from me about 4 years ago. I can see their backyard when I'm out in mine. They do the snowbird thing too. They were down here full time in a waterfront home that they retired to, but sold that after about 10 years and bought a cheaper house that isn't waterfront and a condo up in Jersey. They wanted to be near their children as they get into their late years.

Dude is almost 85 years old and he's flying up and down the road on his bicycle. He was going on a 20 mile bike ride today. The temperature today is about as high as his age.

I've driven past him on my way home from work and he's all the way down there (Which is like 8 miles) riding his bike.

The old lady is worried about him getting hit by a car over by the beach or on one of the main roads.

If you seen this guy peddling you wouldn't know this guy was in his 80's. He told me if he had been cycling like this in his younger years he'd be the best damn cyclist there was haha.

He says he likes it more than his boat because at least it's free and don't cost nothing. Until you get a flat tire and have to change it.

That was pretty motivating for days when I'm feeling low on energy.

I asked him if he hears all the noises in the overnight hours and he says no because he's asleep and these bike rides make him sleep the best he has in his entire life. He joked that he goes into such a deep sleep that at his age he's afraid it'll be a permanent one.

Sailor Jerry is always the one that does it to me.
I had a Sailor Jerry phase. It's high octane stuff compared to Captain Morgan.

I just watched the bodycam video on youtube where the Nashville police storm the school and shoot the murderer.

Jesus christ those dudes got some biiiig balls, going in with just a kevlar vest on looking for a person with an assault rifle. Real American heroes on film!

Wont post the video here but you can find it in Youtube, need a +18yr old verified account.

They definitely handled it better than the cowards in Texas but our country is an embarrassment when it comes to this situation. We lost the plot over a decade ago when the powers that be decided an entire classroom of young children being murdered wasn't the final turning point that it should have been to finally fix this mess.

It's infuriating.

I think part of the problem is there's no definitive "fix", bad people will still do bad things regardless of laws, obviously. I see the call for background checks in states that don't have it, the permit process, etc and I agree with them for the most part. I know my entire process took about 8 weeks which I don't think is unreasonable. The entire issue is a disgrace though, it's embarrassing and as a parent it's f***ing petrifying.

straight up jam.... i would be high also

You can’t just post something that says wah wah and not expect me to add…,

I added this version because I really like the guitar breakdown which shows you how the song was constructed. A really fun watch. Beyond that just know that the Bangladesh recording is about as star studded a lineup as you will find in thr 1970s. I guess when the band starts with George and Ringo it’s pretty easy to trump anyone else when you throw in Badfinger Leon Russell and Billy Preston.

I’ll also add for the haters out there that this video went to great lengths to play and edit the video before posting. More than 50 years after the song was released. Very few artists can claim that their songs are getting played at all let alone being redone with such care and love 50 years later.
