So the world lost Jeff Beck. He was feisty and difficult at times but really deserved his status as one of the best guitarists of the classic rock era.

Tried my hand at bagels the other day. They came out pretty good, but I forgot to take post bake pictures

I'm actually in Louisiana right now. With the youngest headed off to college next year we will how much longer that lasts. I can find plenty of rocks down here and there is a very well manicured bike trail center about 30 miles north of me which has some nice man made obstacles and jumps and features maybe 50-60 total miles of trails but it's just not elevated that much. Still, it's better than nothing. Most days I just ride around on the golf course in my neighborhood and bump around over the oak roots and such. I'm old and need to exercise and cannot seem to handle a treadmill or an indoor bike. The feel of the outdoor air moving is important to me somehow and a road bike seems dangerous to me. I've go the advantage over a golf cart moving at the same speed as me compared to the cars on the road.@My3Sons I have a Jamis Hijack A1, I'm not sure if it's a hardtail but I do put it to good use, rode Hartshorne and Huber Woods today (11 miles).
I'm guessing you live in either Florida are out in the midwest, both places I would be miserable when it comes to MTB, I need hills and rocks and such.
Never rode out west but I disperse camp out there every summer, will be in Olympic Peninsula this July for almost two weeks, but yeah, every time I'm out there I wish I had my bike.
Figured I'd move this in here, the other thread is already OT'd lol.
I would think there more hills in Louisiana. Interesting.I'm actually in Louisiana right now. With the youngest headed off to college next year we will how much longer that lasts. Edit: Your bike is a hardtail since it only has a shock in the front.
There are some hills further north but that's at least an hour to an hour and a half ride away. That's more time than I'll typically have to devote to it. I can ride to the local trails in 30 minutes, ride for as long as my old self can take it and then get home in 30 minutes to shower and collapse.I would think there more hills in Louisiana. For me it's the best workout, go hard for a couple hours and you do a whole body workout, especially the core.
You can't get that from riding on the roads.
