Don’t you have a dog? You should try to be home during the storm or at least get her some tranquilizers from the vet.
The only thing about storms that really bother her are when it’s thundering.

Barring a sudden turn a few hundred miles south than what’s currently projected, I don’t anticipate much happening here beyond the rains and some gusty winds. Ian from last year was one that was getting me a bit worried, but this one should clear well north west of here and still looks to be offshore by 150-200 miles when it’s parallel with me.

From Jersey w/ Love
I'm in the middle of a semi-serious renovation to my house (siding, all new windows). Just sitting here, attempting to work. Banging noises in and outside the house.

But I gotta say - these dudes are like little GI Joe action figures. Guy was laid out like a mermaid on my countertop, putting in a window.... with all of his 110 lbs.

I'm impressed with how much stronger they are than me.

All is good over here. Just real wet from all the rain. Sun is even out right now, at least partially. Not even any downed trees. Supposed to be a bunch of rain later, but the storm is 200+ miles to the northwest of here.

How about you?

We are just getting rain on and off. I’m seeing storm surge pictures from south and me and north of me for the people near or on the coast.

Over by where I work it’s all flooded or at least it was a little while ago. It was starting to flood early yesterday, but that’s right at sea level. I’m something like 18-30 feet above sea level a few miles away.

My friend and his family always come to stay with me during these storms, if only because they live basically almost on the water and it floods pretty badly by them over the dock every time we get a storm.

My youngest said they are having some wind and rain at U of F but they did not lose power so that is good news. At this point I think the storm is largely past them and into Georgia. They could still get a bottom of the circulation band or a small tornado so they have to be alert for another few hours.

So I got an ultimatum today...shave the beard or dye the beard. I was told "Santa Clause isn't sexy". 😂

I'm not sure which bow to go with this season.

Longbow, recurve or modern ILF recurve(International Limb Fitting - essentially Olympic technology)

Longbows are so simplistic and beautiful.

Recurves are super sexy with lines and curves.

ILF recurves are just no nonsense machines...a bit lifeless compared to wood but very accurate.

Then I have a 1959 Bear Kodiak that I'd really like to bring into the woods...but I'm a little uneasy about bring a 64 year old masterpiece to be tossed around in the woods?

You should build the crossbow Hugh Jackman used in the Van Helsing movie. You can take out multiple prey animals and vampires. It’s the Gatling bow that all the cool bow hunters that look like Santa are using.

If there is one thing that I truly hate in this world it's the crossbow.

They are for the lazy and unskilled that want access into the archery seasons without putting in the effort.

I hate them more than anything.
