More like Kermit the Frog voice. Was that really his first solo recording? Having watched the Genesis documentary a couple of years ago it was inevitable he was going to leave and go out on his own.

seems like it is and its funny that this mentions kermit as well

love me some roy

In a group of superstars including a couple at the very top of stardom in their day he stood out. That's one heck of an accomplishment. Still classic rock's biggest lost opportunity was not one of them getting the others out of the rocking chair to play at least a few shows. Even at the Dylan tribute it didn't happen. Brutal.

Looks like Oyster Creek Restaurant and Boat Bar, it's nice down there. Kind don't even realize it's NJ.
Two pictures were taken from Oyster Creek restaurant...the Sandy high water mark and the boat. The other is from Motts.

The Catholic schools were a lifeline out in my hometown of Paterson for so many. Almost every single person I knew that had the opportunity to go advanced their station in life.

It's a shame so many of have shut their doors due to lack of enrollment.

When you grow up in Paterson and Eastside or Kennedy (depending on which part of Paterson you live in) were your only options, a place like Paterson Catholic was a beacon of hope.

The education level was 10x the public schools, the number of kids headed to college was around 95% while Paterson public schools were around 40%, SAT scores, Highschool proficiency test, ACTs consistently were in the top quarter of all schools in NJ, while the Paterson public schools performed so badly the state eventually came in and took over... Paterson Catholic was an oasis in the middle of madness.

Ironically I was kicked out for fighting a few times but most had a better grasp of the opportunity they were getting than I did at the time.

just 2 minutes?! pfft...

"function"

...and fun fact: never do we see strummer's iconic fender tele body in any shot/camera angle in the video....

why? .....most of it is crowd near front, but long shots and even side off stage show nothing.

hmm.

He clearly has a guitar there? My guess is it was just the camera angles as the other guys have their instruments shown easily enough if you look for them.
