Having Jensen in as a partner has clearly helped him, but also have to wonder how much the wrist injury affected him. He had some great games this year and looked more like the Chabot that got the 8m/year contract, but I hope he find more consistency he was also bad in a few games (I guess the same could be said about the team as a whole)
I would agree that having Jensen for a partner has been very helpful to Chabot and it does seem like Chabot is always dealing with some type of injury.
I do think that came with him playing so much in the past. If memory serves, he was the league leader or very close to the top in minutes played per game over the last 3-5 years (when he played).
With Sanderson taking over as the lead Dman on this team, I think that is also played a part in his game this year.
He is not having to play 26+ minutes per game every game, he can be more in that 23-minute range, which I think really helps.
You could see the exhaustion in his game in years past. He has his legs/energy back this year, which is great to see.
