I hope you are rightI'm guessing his trade tree isn't over.

It was 11-5-1 or something but people should understand our xG were rough and we were on a bit of a lucky streak with our scoring so it covered it up.What was our record without Brady in the lineup this year?
Sens will still be here one way or another, and I'll still be cheering for them. This team was always bigger than Brady.I hope you are right
They tried for Lundell and Florida wouldn't go for it, which makes perfect sense from their perspective.I accept he had to be dealt. I just have a hard time believing they could not get a roster player that would have an impact. Guess the rebuild is not over?

Beyond that there's no other option. Eetu Luostarinen only has 1 year left until UFA and every other notable forward on their roster has a full NMC.
Futures were the only way to go.
I think you'll find it's the same situation.Carolina, Minnesota and Vegas were also options.
I think Vegas could've put in a good offer of Dorofeyev, a 2026 1st, Connelly, etc., but they already know Dorofeyev fits in their current system and already has tied Brady's season high in goals.I think you'll find it's the same situation.
The only players on Vegas without trade protection are Nic Dowd, Keegan Kolesar, Brett Howden, Pavel Dorofeyev [RFA who may not want to extend in Ottawa], and Kaedan Korczak. They have almost no enticing futures.
Carolina aren't going to make Jarvis, Stankoven or Blake part of a deal.
9th OA is by far the single most valuable piece available to the Senators and they took it.
