As a Leaf fan, I've seen this team ram it's hand into my chest, and show me my still beating heart after yanking it out. And being the center of the hockey universe, has meant all other fan bases taking turns rubbing salt into the wound. Any concept of revenge however is displaced by having some class and empathy. But it really is amazing how brutal some of these other fan bases are when they lose to the Leafs. What's amazing, they're not even analyzing their team and what's going wrong, they're attacking Leaf players, fans, history, etc. I know our pot boils over too, but nothing to this degree.

so the last 2 fan bases that talked shit to us. the media played them up . we break them

edmonton was talking about sweeping us and taking the division. not to mention all the back handed shots by the oilers during interviews. (looking at you (Drais)


funny thought now the pld is in the peg guess muzz might just be able to get vengeance after all for the bubble

Remember when everyone in the main boards said we wouldn’t be able to sign Matthews, Marner and Nylander? lol not only did we sign them but we even had room for Tavares and additional improvements across the roster such as picking up Brodie, Muzzin, Thornton, Simmonds, Spezza, Bogosian and Campbell.

Credit to Dubas and his cap management genius. Most well rounded team we’ve had in possibly ever, also goes to show what happens when we finally have a coach who shares the same vision as our GM.

They have Khaira. That guy should be glued to McDavids wing and keep trying different players on the right wing until they get a fit. Khaira is being misused. Great player. Works hard just like hyman and needs a promotion. They will figure it out that their first line is Khaira/McDavid/Yamamoto eventually.
Why the coaching staff can’t figure that out is strange to me. Anyways Khaira is misused there

I think it’ll suck to not hear the raucous Go Leafs Go chants in the playoffs, but ya the improved ice conditions are great though. At least that’s one positive about it.

Tippet should look in the mirror. The way he uses his roster is questionable to say the least. They did skate. We locked down their flow through the neutral zone and tippet had no answer for it. He wastes Khaira only getting just over 11 minutes a game too.

Well obviously I won’t agree with that. Their coach is terrible bro. I wouldn’t be surprised if tippet isn’t fired soon. They are loose all over the ice and cheat way to much. We should see that easily because they ate what we were. Less talented absolutely. Our depth is stronger too

Totally agree with everything you stated ...
Except that we had a exceptional team in 93 era and many great teams in the past that have won many cups
But having said all that , terrific takes all around ...

Im a khaira fan too. However being fair to Zach, he's quite a few notches above khaira. Zach is more than a hard worker last two years. His skill and ability at reading play has really skyrocketed.

Khaira can only wish to top out as a Hyman.

That 91-93 team was special no doubt... but I think we have something much more special on our hands with this current team, IF they can keep playing like this... deep we go!
