The Flyers really know how to keep the clown show going on.
Pretty much the case, at least so far.The Flyers really know how to keep the clown show going on.
You know you just yada yada-ed over the high-level involvement that would have been absent from Mr. and Mrs. Forsberg vis-à-vis Clarke’s handling of their son’s career.Forsberg also probably dies from his ruptured spleen because Keith Jones wouldn't have been his roommate (like he was for Lindros) to save him and then Forsberg gets called soft for missing an entire season recovering from that so they trade him.
The situations probably mirror each other.
That’s what Briere gets for holding a press conference announcing the trade was complete.Briere era not off to the best start with all these “done deal” trades falling through
It could be that the Blues got greedy and dumb when they went for Sanheim. That brought Krug into the picture who didn’t want to come to Philly so he told his agent to leak the possible deal in order to blow up the trade. The Flyers got greedy with the Blues trade. They should have kept it simple.
How the turn tables, says HextallObviously the Front Office cares that Sanheim’s name got publicly leaked according to Friedman.

I like #SellOff4Celebrini! Nice. #FlyersCelebriniOfDefeat! It's a lot, but dumping a bunch of assets (some of which might see an NHL cup of coffee) for a guy who definitely isn't playing next year is also an investment in the #SelloffForCelebrini, so could be a two birds, one stone sort of thing?
Look at this beautiful, entirely appropriate dog outfit
F*** YOU, KEVIN!

Jesus Christ we're arguing about Forsberg? I know it's contrary to the thread title, but can we leave these smoking hot takes unsaid?
What?
The chain of people who are here that won't say one bad thing about this team... all they do is slurp from the bowl given to them from this FO.What?
Keeping Hayes for the year is fine. Torts might have to (gasp) not destroy the room because he has a hard time with one player.
The return is largely irrelevant as it wouldn’t be anything other than likely nothing good coming back. Same goes for TDA.
Laughton, TK, Sanheim, and Hart are the key pieces to move in this rebuild. Or it’s Hextall retool part 2.

I can live with him making mistakes in these early days as long as his process actually is as sound as he makes it out to be. A willingness/desire to draft Michkov is part of that (though I hate the idea of moving up to get him, or anyone else), dumping/acquiring salary in the effort to acquire draft capital is part of it.
I'm not trying to suggest I'm patient - I want him to get off his ass and f***ing do something before I lose it. But I'll forgive him later, up to a point, as long as he gets and stays on the right track.
Or their 6th rounderMy expectation is something like:
Hayes at $3,571,428.57 for the lower of the Blues two 2024 3rd rounders.
