Hmmm
Arrogant, childish overbearing coach
Clueless broadcaster running hockey ops
System lacking high end talent
Team actively shopping the few good players left
Shitty city and extremely high taxes whether in NJ or PA

I mean it’s just shocking that a player wouldn’t want to be a f***ing Flyer
Yes, shocking that a veteran wouldn't want to be a part of a rebuild. Shocking, I tell ya!

The real story there is that they are clearly ‘Target: Michkov’ and seem to be all-in on making sure they get more capital than the Caps.

I can't take much more of this. I am hanging out in Barcelona this week, so on a schedule 6 hours ahead of east coast time. Every single day is torture. Just make a goddamned move!!! I probably will wind up staying up most of the night tomorrow to follow the draft. I don't know why I do this to myself. At least I'm eating and drinking every day way better than anyone has any right to...

Whether it happens or not, you can’t trade up to 5 without knowing who is on the board. As great as Michkov is, you certainly can’t trade up with all of his uncertainty on and off the ice unless a team is dead set on trading back and takes less than fmv.

And by reported he means stole the work of Seravalli and Friedman.
No, you see, nothing has changed today. That’s the new reporting. If you just keep reporting that the sun rose in the east today, it’s always new because it hadn’t happened yet.

My man, just enjoy Barcelona and catch any of the hockey news when you return home. Flyers aren’t worth it to ruin a trip away from home for ya player.

From the bottom of my heart, go enjoy Barcelona and forget about this mess for a week.

The focus should be on moving Sanheim, DeAngelo, Laughton, Hart, and Konecny. Hayes can rot here until the TDL.

Believe me, I enjoy it more than almost anyone that comes here. I'm here regularly, cause my wife's from here. I spend my time living as a local with her and her family. I see a side of this city that most people don't know exists. The real challenge is not gaining multiple pounds per week. I'll be in Spain until late July. Plenty of time to have fun and shout obsenities at the flyers from afar.

Like I said above, I'm here a lot, cause my wife is from here. Not here doing tourist stuff. Just living like a local. In fairness, yelling at clouds is only my downtime activity, when I'm not eating or drinking (most of my waking hours)

You really believe they're telling the world what they intend to do?
Or is this just the usual pre-draft misinformation?
I mean who would Briere tell if trading up was his intent? His whole staff so they can leak it ?

More likely, Briere has talked to GMs about the cost of moving up, which he should do, always gather information about your potential options.
And that, combined with interviewing Michkov, becomes "the Flyers intend to trade up to get Michkov."

Poulin in NHL this am talking about how much power Torts has for player choice. This draft is gonna SUCK
Do you think Torts is looking at hundreds of hours of video on various prospects? Doubt it.

What qualities do you think Torts emphasizes? It ain't size. He's doesn't have a size fetish like Hextall did.
IQ, high motor, work ethic, defensively responsible, skilled, speed. Hates lazy, stupid players no matter how skilled
What young players does he like, Cates, TK, York, Tippett.

So who in this draft would seem to be his type? Benson, probably Leonard and Moore.

I really think the cost to move up is going to be insanely high. I also don't think MTL or ARZ wants Michkov. For MTL to drop to 8 with Washington, it's going to take an insane amount and I'm not sure WAS can/will do that. I still think if we want Michkov, he'll be there for us at #7. We just need to be smart and patient.

The reporting has been consistent since the day Briere took over that he’s wanted to move up in the draft, needed capital to do it, and is willing to trade NHL players to do it.
