Man, you guys are ready to blame the Flyers for everything. Leaks usually happen from players and agents, not management teams. They will only leak it if it can be controlled.

Fair to a point for sure.

It’s also true that there werent that many moves under Hextall or Fletcher - and I could indeed be wrong, but I fail to remember any leaks really regarding trades during either era.

The staff around the Flyers is basically entirely the same except for a few new advisors, and Jonesy.

He’s imo the primary leaker for STG, and there’s a difference in the amount of stuff getting out to the media this off season.

I don’t think it’s too far fetched of a thought, but at this point it’s all just making them seem unprofessional as an org.

I'd point out that some people were jumping all over the Provorov trade when the initial reports were Walker, Peterson and maybe a pick, then it turned out to be a 1, (2) 2nds and Grans.

I doubt Jones is leaking anything, for one thing, there's a good possibility that both teams have been talking to other teams looking for 3rd party options, especially with the NTC issue - so there would be numerous people with at least some idea of what might be going down. I mean reporters are paid to get on their phone and call around and see if they can find out what's going on.
Some narrative has to be pushed. The Ivan trade wasn't leaked. No way the leak came from the blues end. Nah couldn't be.

The negativity and pissing on the Flyers constantly with absolutely no evidence is growing very tiresome.
like if there was no salary cap and no trade clauses which i cant stand either, deals would be so much easier to make, no one seems to want to understand that. i mean it's main reason why teams have a hard enough time to move players because of the salary cap and ntcs.

DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Quite frankly, the Blues didn’t take care of their business. This ‘good business’ of not asking players to waive until they have a completed deal is arcane. Banana republic shit.
Oh I agree on that 100% me and my wife were discussing that, I said what kind of stupid management team would make an "agreed upon deal" without talking to the player with the no trade clause

It's the Blues, not the Flyers, have screwed this up. It's their player holding up the works, and it's obvious they didn't do their homework.

As far as Carolina, again, it's Carolina that's responsible for the snag.

What is apparent is that Trader Dan is serious about a rebuild - and some more moves are coming this summer.

Trader Dan's biggest problem is a number of contending teams are without a 2023 1st (or at least one commiserate with player value, i.e. not taking #28 for TK). In that case, there's no rush to make a deal, if we're talking 2024 and 2025 picks and prospects, those deals can be made after the draft or even after the first week of FA, when all the prime (not many this year) FAs are signed and a few other players (Hanifin, etc.) are traded.

This is blowing smoke.
The problem with TDA is who do you sit for him - Walker, Risto or Attard?
Walker is more likely to garner a good return at the TDL.
And if you want York to QB PP1, how much value does TDA have to the Flyers?
Torts gave TDA every chance to "build value," 1st pair, PP1 duty - TDA sucked, people here wanted him benched, now they're complaining that Torts didn't fluff him? Like scouts would care?

There is no evidence that Krug doesn't want to play for Torts, Cassidy is a bigger asshole, yet I'll bet Krug would jump at a chance to go to Vegas.
Maybe it's not the coach, maybe a 32 year old player doesn't want to spend the rest of his career on a rebuilding team?
Theres no law that you can only dress 3 RD. Losing Sanheim and Provy leaves a lot of minutes to be replaced...thered be time for TDA to play without blocking anyone. Guys get hurt, too.

My point is Danny is being forced trade him for peanuts because the coach hates him. He shouldnt have to put up with restrictions like that.

They’re not the only ones who would do this. The nhl is just a league where to give no-trades to every Tom, Dick, and Harry and then hold your hands out like Mr. Moneybags when you can’t do your business.

Armstrong went nuts after he won the Cup.
