Also mentioned that he’s heard from a “fairly reliable source” that Laughton is not on the verge of being traded.

He didn’t say he heard it from any source specifically but he seems to believe Chabot would be the defenseman involved, if there is one.

He could be there at seven as well. Montreal has had a lot of chatter about taking him at five but there’s a strong feeling now about taking Iginla. He could play center and is a player that has a game fit for the POs. The Habs have taken a lot of flak for passing on Michkov last year but if they pass on Demidov and take Iginla, it’ll probably go down fine.

I mean, it was less than a year ago when a certain Russian fell to 7. But as other's said, if this rumor is really about a move up in draft order, it sure as shit better not happen till the night of.

Unless it's 12+Scoot for 7. I'd do that in my sleep. It won't be, but one can dream.
