It's the culture. It does matter and it does trickle down. We are in the second season of ror's captaincy and the overall theme is underperformed and weak. That is a reflection of him as a leader. He needs to lead and not just on social media and post game interviews..

I think one of the biggest problems with this team recently is that they all realize Kyrou is extremely talented and they seem both content to let him either run the offense solo, or more likely the other forwards all wanna play with him and get a little pissy when they don't (save for Thomas and Schenn).

The hierarchy has been disturbed and guys don't know what to do.

Also, Parayko has been ass.

Right. You don’t have to take runs at every guy but it’s seriously laughable how we just skate past puck carriers waving our sticks. Opposing defensemen have gotta love it because they don’t have to worry about getting punished by a forecheck, ever.

You realize the absurdity of this right? If team is successful you then impute that it had a strong captain. If they are unsuccessful, they had weak captain by definition according to you. So therefore strength of captain equals team success.
