Draisaitl and Kane should never play together. They are dreadful together.

Neither pays any credence whatsoever to puck management and both are horrendous in their own end. Creates a lot of problems when one of the two of them tosses it to the middle without looking and then dog it on the backcheck.

Don't really know what you do, because fixing it involves blowing up the top line and creating another problem. Honestly it’s probably just a matter of managing their deployment (playing them in the last minute in the period they had was dumb) and hoping for the best.

Kane will be the next to take a seat
He does need to bulk up again. He didn’t have elite athlete muscles in his Christmas video! Last season his off ice videos he had a thick neck and wrists and everythang during interviews prior to his return from injury

Kane has a low hockey IQ.

At least Yamo could think the game with Leon.

And Foegele is more of the same too.

It's sad that Janmark and Gagner might be the best wingers for Drai.

It's getting really tough watching Draisaitl skate by guys and wave his stick around rather than actually trying to check. Like maybe 1 out of a 100 times you intercept the pass and get a chance. The other 99 times it's easy puck possession for the opponent.

Love Bouch jumping into the play. Solid periods from Ekholm and Nurse as well. Now if only we could get the Drai line going and get some decent goaltending.
This is one difference between Drai and 97. 97 makes better use of his wingers. Regardless of who the wingers are.

29 needs a right winger. Badly.

Might be a good idea for Drai to be that RW. Haven't liked him at center this year.

Would be nice to have a legit #2C to move him over to the wing and not have to put him with McDavid.

I don’t know what the solution is honestly.

I don’t think you can break up nuge-McDavid-hyman.

Draisaitl needs help. It’s becoming more clear that he can’t really carry a line 5 on 5. Oilers need a legit RW for him.

I will give Kane some credit. He plays pretty hard. Hes hits and he tries to keep himself engaged when hes not scoring. But hes super streaky offensively and will probably only get worse as he ages.

But in any event, the second line isn’t working. The only potential hope is that maybe Holloway can play there but it’s unlikely.
