Anyone who understand Russian can expand on this? How concrete is this? If there is any sort of video of her even suggesting this it will be the reasonable doubt Varly's lawyers need.
Absolutely, she flat out says that she was the one that started the fight,; she was beating him up; she came to the States for that sole purpose of setting up Varly.
I don't know anything about the Russian media...is life news reliable?

Tabloid: yes, but only in terms of what they chose to cover. They are very reliable. Usually back up their stories with videos/pics.

This Life News phone conversation is such a fake:

She: A complete well-built sentance. The other girls does not interrupt.
The other girl: A complete well-built sentance. She does not interrupt.

I wonder if anybody had a phone talk like that...

Not to mention that to me it sounds like "she" speaks Russian like she lived most of her life in Brooklyn

That's how duckface models talk, Den. The voice and the manner of speech are 99% hers. Don't know why you're surprised that they're not very bright. As for not interrupting, what about "да зачем ты рассказываешь, пизданутая что ли?"

Everyone needs to listen up, and listen good.

There will be absolutely NO rumor mongering about other players. I thought I made myself clear with the OP, but apparently I haven't. The next person who decides to rumors about how this incident happened will be Thread Banned and Infracted.

I will not issue another Warning on this!

Why do you think it's fake? As in it's not her in the recording? She has a pretty distinguishable speech pattern, and tone to her voice. It sounded like her voice at the beginning of when they started playing the recording, but it was kind of all over the place, and sounded like it had a few different voices. Plus I don't speak Russian so I couldn't tell the context, or if that wasn't even the telephone conversation at that point.

Would anybody mind translating what was actually said on the phone, allegedly by her? Didn't sound like too long of a clip.

Why do you think it's fake?

You don't speak like this one the phone... You add "right", "sure" etc, interrupt and speak incorrectly. These two take turns let each other finish phrases and do not even speak colloqually, their language is too good for a casual convesation, these is how you would speak not with a friend, but if you are a radio host and you are taking an interview from a literary critic.

That's not true, it totally depends. You didn't translate what was said. If someone tells me they're going to completely screw someone over, I'm not gonna jump in with a comment right away. I'm gonna be a bit speechless.

From the sound of it, it was only a couple seconds of the conversation. You think every single sentence gets interjected over the phone, with a "right" or "uh-huh?" Sometimes people just listen. I know I do on the phone.

Again, it would be helpful if someone could translate what was actually said.

I'll translate it a little later, have to run now.

She actually says very little, and basically says that she went to the States to somehow close the relationship, that's all. Most of the recording is some other girls talking to somebody about Varvinyuk.

It's interesting that you bring up the part about her just wanting to close the relationship, and not the more damaging aspect of the phone conversation.

So you believe it is Evgeniya in the recording? But think it's fake? Is she saying that she planned this like ult said? If it is her saying this, why would that be fake?

It would be great for Varly if it's true but I don't buy any of this nonsense coming out of Russia.

She said enough and she simply listened. The voice is definitely hers. The reason she says little is because she is simply not really bright.

The way the convo is recorded is weird: the girl is recording herself talk to Vavrinyuk who is either on speaker or the recorder is placed next to the phone.

My friend is an attorney and speaks Russian. I will try and get him to translate when he gets back from Mexico

Damaging?

"They say I should not go back to Russia, they'll will kill you...- Well, no they won't, who needs it".

Happier?

No

No I'm talking about the part where "Vavrinyuk tells her friend that she planned this conflict" like ult said. You know the most important part of the conversation I would imagine. How did she tell her friend this? What did she say? These are important aspects.

Yes, this is a big deal. Of course the voice is Vavrinyuk, not sure why the other poster didn't think so. I don't even speak Russian and I could tell one of the voices was hers. It's very distinguishable.

Sounds like her friend was trying to trap her by "reminiscing" and continually bringing up her karate belt trying to get her to confirm both.

She really never seemed that bright. They should try trapping her on the phone again, I bet it'd still work.

It will probably be summer (at least) before this is all over and done with.

It's not a murder case

Edit: the case it's self wont take very long, but Varly will probably be on probation for few years and will probably be enrolled in some kind of anger management program which will probably last until summer.

That's completely irrelevant. The legal system takes forever to exhaust. Did you see how much time is in between now and the next hearing? 2 months. Look up any other high profile but low charge case and see how long that took to get to trial. That one Don Vito sexual assault case took 14 months to get to trial. Of course a plea deal could happen at any time but if they really want to take this to trial it will take forever. Look at how long it took the DA to file the charge, citing how long it took to get the translations. If they need to depose numerous Russians it will only take longer.

Well Jan 22nd is the plea date. Then, they will probably setup a date to being a trial at that point... where Varly's lawyers will ask that the trial be delayed until at least after the Olympics and probably after the season. Which puts this into the summer.

When the case starts, it will only be a day or two. It will be pretty open and shut.
