I would be perfectly ok with trading JT. He has been abysmal this year. It is one thing if the team is bad or if you dont like the coach, but is disrespectful and dishonorable to coast and not show up every night to the fans who support you and your teammates who rely on you.
Depends on the return. He has a lot of talent, which is something we're lacking overall. He's a top notch passer. I'd be interested to see him with another coach.

These guys seriously think the Leafs can win the Cup with that D and they cite Pitt as an example for a copycat league? Tronna’s big 3 has f***ing nothing on Sid, Geno, and Phil at this point. What a dumb take

Really dont care about someone’s talent when they tarnish their level of character with how they carry themselves through adversity and challenges faced. He took the absolute wrong path. The breaking point, if it hadnt happened already, was the shift on Friday where he turned over the puck in the 2nd at the oppositions blueline, and then coasted off the ice while the Wild scored.

Oh how I hope TB trades for Jack Johnson. What a drop-off from McDonagh and Karlsson.

I agree. I'd love for tightwad Stevie Y to not make the big move, make a trade for Johnson and then watch him bomb for TB in the playoffs.

Extremely debatable. Holden is trash

No. Holden was playing over his head. When played on the third D pairing, Holden is fine - good.

I get it, but I don't think it's smart to build the team with emotional judgements based on individual events like that. It's pretty clear that about 90% of the team doesn't care right now and is sick of this coach, system and season. I don't think we should move everyone because of that.

TSN 1050 Toronto is pushing the Ryan McDonagh agenda hard. Saying he's the missing piece on the team for Toronto to go very deep in the playoffs.

I mean he really is the kind of player they need. Reilly is great, but he's not a great match-up guy. They have a lot of puck movers on the back-end but lack a high-end shutdown type. The problem is as soon as you take Dermott off the board, their pool is pretty "meh" if you ask me. Liljegren is good, but hardly a sure thing. I think Kapanen is better than some other folks do, but he's hardly a centerpiece.

Guys, the McD era is over.

Stop talking about not having to move him, or resigning him, or turning back time.

This isn't breaking up with your girlfriend and still seeing each other on the weekends to release some tension. It's over.

With that said, it might not be today, but McD is not staying here. The Rangers are NOT letting him ride out his contract and his value is NOT going to increase with less term. Don't kid yourself because it makes you feel better for a few minutes.

Cheese and Rice!

What does "cheese and rice" mean?

One persons name I seen floating around that even rebuilding I would kick tires on is Ben Hutton. TSN has him listed as trade bait and he’s still young (24) he’s mobile and except for the injuries this year he’s been a solid defenseman imfrom what I’ve seen.

Mind you I didn’t look at any advanced stats, so maybe someone else would say he’s actually been god awful this year so idk lol

I would struggle to call Reilly good, let alone great.

I think hes incredibly overrated. His 5v5 production is about on par with McDonagh and he plays for a powerhouse offense with a competent coach. He can't defend a lick. One of the most overrated players on this site.

If not McDonagh, they need someone. That defense isn't close to good enough.
