It seems more people are into political things now than ever before, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

But I find there's a lot of borderline extremism, where people on either side can't seem to say things without pissing off more than a few people on the other side. One friend of mine, had someone say ''That's BS! Now you're getting blocked!'' after he posted something disparaging about a particular political figure. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't actually seen the post. I've also seen people on twitter saying things and then when someone disagrees, the person will say ''GTFO! Now you're blocked!'' or something like that. I find it amusing and pathetically sad at the same time.

Which is exactly why we can't allow actual political discussions here. There is an HF Politics sub-forum for that but not on the hockey forums.

And that's probably for the best.

I don't even like to discuss politics at all, though I really don't feel extremely passionate about it either.

I'd much rather piss people off by arguing about hockey!:D

I don't know why I am sitting in this tree when it is 87 degrees out? I should be fishing somewhere.

Sounds like when I go early goose hunting, lying in a field sweating my ass off on the off chance they stop being lazy and decide to feed.

I'm not completely sure about this...but have you ever noticed when someone starts a statement with "Make no mistake..." they are typically lying?

I don't know but lately I've been hearing that phrase on a regular basis and it seems to precede a lot of B.S ?

I went out last Saturday. Had an easy 15 yard shot on a fawn or it's mother, but didnt take either. I have no use for killing fawns, and though the momma was large I will not orphan a fawn. No honor in that. So I decided to skip all hunting until October 1st. If someone beats me to the giant 10 pointer I have on SD...... so be it.

Your supposition is a fact. As too is "honestly", normally, though not always (which is the tough part), what they say following is a lie. In my past, we used to hire former CIA interrogators to coach us as well as for live "sit ins" to try to glean in real-time truths and lies. I learned quite a bit from them.

"Honestly" is a tough one. I've used it when I got into trouble when I was innocent. I think analyzing body language and inflection is key.

Another mall shooting that killed five. Hope everyone here is planning to do all their holiday shopping online.

I go to malls all the time, but only to literally walk around. It's air conditioned and I can walk 5 miles or 6 miles in a couple hours there. Pretty much for exercise, since it's more pleasant than the 90 degree humidity. And I don't have to take a stop for a drink while I'm doing that.

The one that I go to usually has barely any people in it and it's only one story. Not like some of the one's in Jersey I used to go to.

I can't remember the last time I bought something there. I went into Dick's Sporting Goods and bought some clearance item NHL sticker book from the 12-13 season, it was like a dollar. I bought it because it had Marty on the cover, in the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals jersey with the patch on it. It wasn't during the 12-13 season that I bought it though, it was about 6 or 8 months ago. I actually think it was during All Star break last year. I hate shopping at the mall. I hate shopping period, I only do it for food because I live alone and I have to. Every few months I'll have to buy hair spray or pomade at Target or the drug store or something.

2016 is a bad year for celebrities. It just claimed Arnold Palmer.

The real athlete with "the King" nickname.

The one who actually won a few things in his career.

EDIT: Side note, I actually met Palmer a few times when I lived in Orlando, and was "around" him several other times when I didnt interact with him. He was totally chill. Not one of these, "I am a special person" arrogant, famous athletes. I saw him interact with people like no big deal, and he was really great with people's kids (loved children). R.I.P.

That's like the term "Bless their heart" here in the south... Somehow lets one think they can blast someone but be okay....

"Oh, she came in, and bless her heart, looked like a ratty mess."

Alright weather enthusiasts.. I'm getting married Friday in New Hope, PA and, while the reception will be inside, we had hoped to do the ceremony outside. They also have fire pits for hanging out by after dinner. But the forecast is freaking me out. Is there any hope this wet weather goes away or at least dissipates? :(

I have never been a malls person (odd in a female). I'd rather shop for everything I need in a department store or online. Online shopping is my current most popular mode.

But I could see walking in malls being better than walking through humidity. Humidity is the worst.

Thank you!! Yes, I'm desperately hoping this forecast improves. I have 4 weather sites up on my computer at work and can barely focus. Luckily my boss knows my head will be elsewhere this week ;)

Yeah, I don't think anyone could blame you for checking the weather forecast a ton. Hopefully the predictions get better.
