Is he showing up during day light hours?

Not midday, but an hour or so before dusk to evening. Was there for several days early August, but hasnt been in a few weeks. I'm hoping that's because he doesnt "need" the minerals anymore. There's no food out there, but I'll get the corn chucker going later this week and I hope that brings him back. Here he is below from the first few days of August, not a great pic, but given it was early August I'm thinking the rack might get a tiny bit bigger.

ive done sweet pickles before….as for tips, have fun and dont be afraid to experiment with ingredients….a red chili looks real nice in the jar and adds a bit of kick for instance….and use fresh dill not the dried stuff if you are using dill

Good advice, as I have both dill and dragon cayenne peppers in the garden!

May be a little random to ask here, but now that I live in the south, its almost a requirement to have a firearm.
I enjoy *****, and have been looking to buy a shotgun for me and my two young daughters. I have narrowed it down to a 20ga side by side I think so they can shoot it without being knocked on their butts. Any of you guys have knowledge on them? Want to keep price within reason but a good solid reliable gun would be nice.

EDIT...Why is S K E E T starred out?

I was surprised when I pulled the card. The buck that's on the mineral pile really isn't that small either, but looks lame in comparison. I'm thinking of doing EAB elsewhere just to stay out of the area. Overkill?

If you want to be competitive with it for clays, the double-barrel is correct, and you may want to consider O/U models as well as SxS.

If this isnt going to be a serious hobby or sport, and you want a shotgun that can multi-task, you may want to consider a semiautomatic model with interchangeable barrels that can be used for all forms of hunting, clay target games, and self-defense.

I dont know how "young" the kids are, but if you're most worried about recoil, while not a true "s keet" gun, the semi is the best way to go, as they are by far the lightest shooting of all shotguns. I only own one semiautomatic 20 gauge (Weatherby SA-08), but even a 13 year old could shoot that thing all day long with no ill effects on the shoulder with the #7.5, #8, #9 birdshot rounds you'll be using. Heck, the 12 gauge semi I own is remarkably light even when loaded with 300gr hunting Sabots.

Not overkill at all I would do the same. In fact I would try to not hunt the area at all (If I had other options) until conditions were perfect.

Yeah, I'll put the corn chucker out there this week and swap cards, then not go back for another card pull for at least 2 weeks, and then probably do EAB this year on public land. Did you get a Hunterdon County park this year?

Hasnt been a really big hurricane impacting the east coast in a long time, but it looks like a major one might be forming. NOAA is going to send up planes every 12 hours starting tomorrow, which is all you need to know to know they're taking this one very seriously. American models have it landfalling over south Florida and then out the gulf. European model has it landfalling over Texas. Should be interesting to watch.

they might move the chargers up to murder, the driver screamed out to the woman "that's my Pikachu b****" before running her over
It's not a zero sum game. Multiple players can catch the same Pokemon. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

I'm sick of people blaming the game for human stupidity. It's just another in a long line of people trying to blame something else for their own stupidity/laziness/bad parenting/wanting to be babied by the world. Before smart phones, it was violent video games, before video games it was Dungeons and Dragons, before that it was rock music. Or maybe people should pay damn attention while they're driving and maybe more goes into someone deciding to shoot up a place than how much they like to play Mortal Kombat.

The game itself was pure genius by the creators. They couldn't have capitalized on the nostalgia of Pokemon for 90s kids any better.

Are you into bluegrass?

I know a band that travels the country fishing and playing. Don't really know the mandolin player that well but the guitarist and the bassest are husband and wife. I know them.

I'd like to know how many people die per second due to texting and driving.

Wow...What some people will do for Pokemon Go. Wish that game had never been invented. :shakehead

Part of me thinks that I'm becoming that "get off my lawn" old man (I'm in my early to mid 30s) but it feels like almost every day I drive by people and lay on my horn because of them texting and driving or as I saw just last week... I notice a care swaying back and forth and I see a lady driver with her left arm stretched straight and proper up on her steering wheel. As I approach her in the fast lane I look over and see that she's not only holding her phone, but face timing someone and making sure to give them a nice far away view so they can see her properly as she crashes into a family and kills them all. She had to be close to 70. This world scares me more and more every day with how blind and ignorant people are to everything around them and not being able to look past the moment. That text can wait... That call can wait....
