I'm not generally a big fan of this genera, but to me it sounds like the singer doesn't have the chops or range for this kind of song. His voice sounds too forced, too monotone, and doesn't project the intended intensity IMO.

I'd have to agree with this. It sounds like he doesn't have the power in his voice that someone in the death metal genre should have. Nor does he have the inflection control.

So I'm walking in the woods yesterday on the property preparing for the upcoming season, and I looked down and noticed this object. It's a very hard rock, and I think due to the size and shape that it's an Indian axe head. The gf also thinks it's an Indian artifact, but she thinks it's a hand tool. It's still fairly sharp, smooth along one side, and has what I believe is an area where a wood handle would be attached to (by my fingers in 2nd pic), which has a near 90 degree indentation that I dont believe could be change/natural erosion. I'm going to post these pics to a Native American artifact forum and see what I can find out about it.

Thoughts from any armchair archeologists on if it's Native American or just a coincidence?

that looks like a hatchet head with the very back end broken off. The notch at the back end was tied with leather.

nice find.

wow awesome find.

I live in Ontario, Canada right next to the Thames river. I've found a few interesting things in the forest that's on the river near my house. The river and that area has a really dark history. During the War of 1812, there was a battle in a field near the river, 100's of soldiers died. On May 25, 1881, the river steamer 'Victoria' capsized and sank killing 182 passengers. In, the early 90's when I was a kid, there was a boy that was kidnapped, tortured and murdered by a sadistic cult in the forest. My mom knew the prosecutor on the case and he said it was the worst crime he's ever been involved with. A lot of people think the area is haunted, you get a really weird feeling when your out there.

It's a great area for fishing and hunting though. The fish are thriving out there. I caught 26 Bluegill's and a few Perch last night. Bluegill's are delicious.

Headboard update:

Really easy job and it looks like the few hundred dollar headboard I have in my room. Going to go over it with a coat of polyurethane tomorrow.

Oh and don't worry it's sturdy.

Picture never loaded!

I inherited one from my friend who didn't want it anymore, he was gonna throw it up and was like ''You got a headboard if you want it'' a few months ago.

It hasn't brought any bad luck or ghosts with it, at least not yet.

That's what I think too, my brother thinks it's just a sharp rock and that I have an active imagination.

I'm going back out there tonight to pull and SD card, and I'm going to look around some more. While reading up on indian artifacts, I read that the indians often buried lots of spear heads, arrowheads, axes, hatchets, and tools in caches, because all that stone etc.. was too heavy to carry since they moved around a lot, so they'd simply dig it back up 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years later when they came back through the area. Something I'd never thought about, but it makes perfect sense. So apparently if you find a single arrowhead it might just be an unrecovered arrow, but if you find a tool it's not uncommon to find several things in that general area.

wow awesome find.

I had never eaten perch until I moved to Vermont. The people up there like to eat them, and for whatever reason it's the most commonly caught fish while ice fishing. They'll have perch fries up there. I'm not a huge fan of them though, but it's fun to catch them, and ice fishing is a hoot, I need to do that more.

I've never eaten bluegill before, maybe I'll give it a whirl. Growing up I lived near a giant lake, and the only people I saw keeping them were the po folk from the city, but they rejoiced over catching them like I would with a brook trout etc...

I'm not much a fan of bluegill myself. It's ok.

I was out yesterday off of Sandy Hook. It was the first time I was on the ocean in probably 10+ years. Caught a ton of fluke. One was a bit over 8 pounds. It was a good time.

The best way to cook Bluegill is to fry it in butter, don't use oil. Bluegill is almost on par with perch to me. Another thing I catch alot of is Catfish/Bullheads... If cooked right they are actually DELICIOUS. You will be surprised.

I caught a pike last night, I've heard they are good eating but are a ***** to filet.

They are tough to fillet, and are fishy. More than bass. Bass are ok, but walleye and perch are far superior.

White Perch from Lake Hopatcong are delicious, always go ice fishing a few times a year there, super fun.

But right now I'm sitting in Jasper Brewing Company having a beer baffled by a painting on the wall...

You know the Mark Messier in a towel with a beer meeting Gary Coleman photo? Well, someone decided to paint that scene. I'm figuring out right now how to inconspicuously take a photo.

Pics to follow.

It looks like he's touching his butt.

Was he doing that in the actual picture? I haven't seen that picture in like a gazillion years, so I forgot that was even it when you posted it. I saw your post with just the picture before the post you made before it.

When I first saw it, I thought Messier was someone else. It's been a loonnngggggggg time since I've seen Messier with that much hair. It was noticeably receding even back in the mid 80's, from what I remember.

So this happened....

The State Department is giving a briefing on ISIS' territorial progress in Libya, Syria, and Iraq, when what seems more like a Saturday Night Live skit broke out.

I've never seen that photo, story behind it?

I don't know much about it, other than I'm assuming Gary Coleman met Mark Messier in the locker room after a game.

I'm guessing it was in his Oilers days, he never had that much hair as a Ranger.

Why are there so many Australians in Canada? Getting drunk with these ******* in Banff and I have no idea what they are saying. I just keep nodding and smiling. My wife is talking to this couple and I swear I can't understand a single word they're speaking. When they speak it almost sounds like they are deaf and can't fully comprehend vocalization.

Talk to this one dude today who was from Edmonton and was pretty upset about Hall. Was curious what I thought about Larsson. I was diplomatic as not to start an international inccedent. But he didn't believe me that his mom can skate better.
