The Senators are going to waltz right into the playoffs.

yea both are must wins. even if the sens managed to pull that off either the pens or washington are likely going to go .500 for the last 10 games meaning ottawa pretty much has to win all their remaining games to have a chance.

Eh if we have a record better than Washignton going foward we'll finish above them. The Pens for sure is the big one.

If both Panthers and Penguins finish with more regulation losses than wins, Sens finish with a record of 7-2-1. and Caps finish with a record worse than the Sens in that stretch, Sens make it. But it's a super difficult task that's for sure. Beyond that 3 absolutely must wins for the Sens are: Florida x2 and Buffalo.

waltzing is a constant forward backward and turning at same time. so basically staying at the same place with some volatility.

I thought they would get a small bump from their offseason and their young gun growth, but the fact they're still in the hunt this deep into the season has been a pleasant surprise. "Waltz" might have been optimistic. These 2 games against Florida are going to have a great playoff energy about them, brothers going head-to-head.

Had a great year in terms of player development and a new culture emerging...Core is in place with very favorable cap space...This year has been a succes...I never once said we were a playoff team this year....Our own GM and Coach never did either....They clearly stated it was a developmental year.

As a fan of a team that hasn't won a playoff round since 2004 - not making the playoffs is way worse. When we didn't make the playoffs for 10 out of 11 years after the lockout - that sucked. Making the playoffs 7 years in a row is way better. Sure 1st round losses are heartbreaking but no playoffs year after year is depressing. Ottawa is on its' 6th year in a row with no playoffs. That's a bummer, but good news is that almost assuredly this will be the final year of that drought.

Now that other Ottawa drought - 1927, that's the reigning champ of all droughts

Congrats. What have the Sens accomplished since Karlsson ran Hoffman out of town?

I wonder if playoff warrior Brady Tkachuk brought the team to karaoke after tonight's loss.
 
That they made it this far with the key injuries the team has had surprised me. Imo it was a successful year from a development standpoint.

I mean every team in the league has to deal with injuries. Can be a good year development wise but the injury thing is tired.

Not sure why Sens fans are getting defensive. This thread is basically a running joke similar to that Canucks having the deepest forward group. It's all in good fun. Y'all need to waltz and have some fun.

I'm not upset at all about what's going on in Ottawa, it's April and they haven't been mathematically eliminated yet. Lots of fun and I know this thread is a piss take because it was insane to create it in the first place.

But how is it defensive to respond to a dig with a dig? By that token, you're being defensive lol

Weak. How about just win an actual playoff round (we won't even consider the Conference Finals (as that's not a word associated with Toronto lol) and then come and talk to me. The clock starts now son.... lol
