Goose wouldnt be having the same success here. Will start to get interesting next year with DeBrincat in his last year, then Pinto and Sanderson both coming up on their 2nd contracts the year after. Like many good young teams, the cap space will evaporate quickly. The Atlantic got lucky they dealt Gustavsson because it's a very strong core with some good young talent still on ELCs on the way.
I personally dont think Debrincat is a fit at 8 million a year. He is their 5th best forward at best. Thats alot to pay a scoring winger. Stylistically I dont think he fits the teams identity either. Personally id be moving him this summer. They would be better off spending the money on other parts of the roster. Like you said re signing players and or adding a goalie. They need a 20/20 physical winger that is fast playing in his spot they have enough high end finishers. With Norris back next year who has a better shot is just a better player overall that goal scoring would be replaced assuming he can stay healthy. Will start to get interesting next year with DeBrincat in his last year, then Pinto and Sanderson both coming up on their 2nd contracts the year after. Sure., I’ll stick to my prediction at start of year, around 88 points, and come up just short.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sens fans love to pile on the Leafs every chance they get.
I'm not sure why mods allow these obvious jinx threads.
Cause jinxes aren’t real and only a mirage instigated by human’s unceasing need to recognize patterns and search for meaning in a chaotic, indifferent universe?
That was the last time Leafs won a playoff series, it’s not the gotcha moment you think it is lol.I guess you were sleeping all those years the Leafs smacked Ottawa in the playoffs.
Maybe you shouldn't come to a concensus after 2 games? Idk just my 2 centsI honestly thought it was an amazing trade, but I've watched their last 2 games, and I am just not very impressed.
Chychrun is obviously a bit of an athletic freak; great skating, great puck skills. However, he looks a bit lost to me, I am not sure his hockey IQ is high enough to be a true #1. He reminds me of a certain offensively gifted defenceman on my own team who can look really lost when the puck isn't on their stick.
I need to see him for more games, but I am not sure he was really the ideal piece for that group. Maybe it's just weak goaltending making everyone look a bit worse than they are?
Problem with that is that this is how he looked in Arizona, but we all thought it was because Arizona was so bad and structure-less. It's not 2 games, it's being surprised that he looks just as chaotic as he always has despite being on a very good team now.Maybe you shouldn't come to a concensus after 2 games? Idk just my 2 cents

What did you have them getting?
I’m sure you didn’t except Florida to be around the position as Ottawa this time of year, .
Now since I answered your question. How many points did you see Florida having at seasons end.
Players will only perform as well as the system they play under. Our system is is severely lacking from a structural standpoint.Problem with that is that this is how he looked in Arizona, but we all thought it was because Arizona was so bad and structure-less. Well if you agree, not sure why you tagged me.Florida Panthers set to take step back?
Pretty hard not to take a step back when they are trying to match a year like they had last season. They were too good and too many guys hit career years that they likely won’t beat this season. I think they can still make the playoffs pretty easily though.forums.hfboards.com
I agree, they could finish top 3, wildcard or miss. I tend to fall in the 3rd to WC spot range myself.

They have the same points percentage right now....There isn't much difference between the two teams except one is way younger than the other.Because you and others went over the top on saying Ottawa were better all around team than Florida...
I think if you look back, I thought the top 6 was better, whatever that thread was called.Because you and others went over the top on saying Ottawa were better all around team than Florida...
Trocheck wasn’t tripped
Wrong side of 25 might be the most hilarious thing you’ve ever posted. With no picks in the up coming drafts. All their best players players on the wrong side of 25 except Lundell, barren prospect pool. Better hope they make it this year because it isnt getting any better.
