I dunno, my friends. I got caught up in the Kakko hype as well, but every single point Hughes scored in the tournament was sublime. I am left feeling supremely at ease at number 2 overall.

I thought everyone knew Kaley Cuoco was a better player at this stage of the careers. The long term prediction or top end is for Hughes to have a higher ceiling. Captain Coco Puffs is some great talent though.

BTW when you google "Best goalies of all time NHL" you get a really good understanding of where Lundqvist truly rises above all the other greats.

I don't know. Hughes seems to rely far more on quickness than speed.

He didn't go cold though minus one meh game or two. Moreover, he was one of the key reasons they tied the game today.

I don't know if it's been mentioned here but Kakko's +- was 10, which was the best of the team (along with Manninen).

An okay first, great 2nd (Drew the penalty on Nurse I believe when he made a nice move with the puck and was tripped...led to the game tying goal and turing it around for the Fins), and the 3rd he was pinned in his own zone most of the period like the rest of Finland who were outshot 22-3 I believe that period)

Drew penalty that led to game-tying goal. Had a really nice shot at the goal that Murray made a great save on. Did well battling against Darnell Nurse but didn't really end up making much of it since teammates weren't able to get open. Pretty quiet game from him overall especially since Finland pretty much turtled for half the game.
