The Saint Mikael Granlund hypetrain part 2 (saucer passes turning to wine!)

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

Really looking forward to seeing how this guy does in the NHL. Think he's going to be a superstar within the first 3-5 years of his career.

Uh what? Granny was actually pretty tough in the Finnish leagues. The only injury was I believe a concussion.

While I think it's too early to say yada or nada on whether he's fragile or not, surviving on FEL doesn't guarantee much towards surviving in NHL.

He had some neck injury year ago, too but nothing big. He could hold he's own physically on FEL, and was pretty good on that department for the first half of he's last season. I don't think he's made of glass but, it's very early to tell.

edit. good thing it wasn't anything serious

The blog TheThirdIntermission (Houston Aero's Blog) talked with Aeros GM Mill yesterday and got various injury updates. Granlund is practicing fully and its up to him when he is ready to play. Sounds like it will either be tonight or tomorrow against OKC.

I have no doubt Granlund has great hands, but that vid didnt do him any justice. Nothing in there made me go "wow".

Yeah, pretty much what anyone does just dinking around with pucks but its still cool seeing a vid like that and especially getting a players perspective. I would love to see more GoPro usage on players in practice, gives an interesting perspective from a pro player. Also makes me nostalgic from doing the same stuff in my basement lol.

Anybody watched Aeros games since he returned after the injury? Only one assist in five games now. Pretty much lost his scoring touch... Is he rusty or what's the problem? Hopefully he will bounce back soon.

Beauty Goal last night. Best player on the ice last night against OKC, hustled hard.

He looked ok last night. Obviously has incredible poise and vision, but you could tell he's still recovering. Scored off of a nice pass from behind the net and had a flukey shootout goal.
