Granlund's upto 10 points in 7 games(3 g, 7 a) and riding a 6 game scoring streak. Looks like he is transitioning just fine to N/A.

He's still got a lot to learn, but he's making the adjustments fairly well. At the very least he'll make the Wild's PP much better. He's deadly on the half-wall.

He's shown that in WJCs already, the question is the transition to NHL.

Yeah, and I think he'll be fine.

I think hes been much better then at WJC against NA teams. His transition is no more a question. He is adjusting very well.

Anyone have any video of him? doesnt have to be a highlight reel or anything, just wanna see how hes progressed..

He's ok but he's no Justin Schultz.:)

Yeah Granlund didn't betray the team that drafted him even though he could have done it last summer ;)

But seriously Granlund's done amazingly well in the AHL. And he still has a lot to improve offensively. He's still adjusting and from what I've seen he's holding some of his offence till he's more confident with the new environment.

Well Granlund didn't have the incentive that Schultz did. He would of just been redrafted. Who wants to go to Columbus at number 2?

There has been some highlight-reel material already but it's the AHL. There isn't any high quality video available. You can watch Houston's highlights, tho...

Granlund from what I've seen of him in Houston is either highlight reel or kind of invisible. I haven't seen him playing a strong defensive game or playing physical. Not saying he should. What really stands out is his play in the offensive zone and on the PP, where he's really good at drawing defenders and moving them around, making solid passes out of nowhere, and his great wrist shot.

He still really reminds me of Pierre Marc Bouchard, except with a strong wrist shot instead of Butch's mini-slapper. And since Granlund uses that shot more, he gets a bit more space and respect than Butch did.

Lack of physicality has kinda surprised me to be honest. He's not the biggest hitter but known to use his body when necessary. I do think he's been okay defensively, tho. He's good at takeaways and is willing to do some honest work in the defensive end unlike some offensive talents are at his age. And while it's not the most useful stat in the world, he's got the best +/- in Aeros team.

The +/- is a pretty cool stat for him. If you look at some of the other rookies like Larsson, Phillips, and Bulmer, they dropped +/- right away. Granlund has been going up and up. Larsson when playing with Granlund started putting up points and improving his +/-.

I think that's pretty cool and indicative of Granlund's talent...he can adapt quickly to better competition at a young age, which bodes very well for his NHL future. And he does make his linemates better.

I think he has played fairly strong defensive game. Nice takeaways and strong on the dot also he has been playing pk so his coach certainly trusts him.

This doesn't even make sense.

some fans need to be reminded that as bad as the Wild have been, there have been worse teams.

Granlund is putting up top 20 numbers in scoring and that's what I expect from him his first year in NA, at this level. if he were in the NHL it wouldn't be a possibility, but he's so far where I expect him to be. Season is very young, of course, but if he drops out of of the top 20 i'll consider it a disappointment.

Still? Are you still saying that Granlund is PMB vol. 2? Well, he SHOULD be better given his status and all the expectations. But maybe that's his downside. Always this nasty PMB card pops up..-.
