One thing I loved about my visit to Denver was the pride everyone had in their own State. Sure everyone was proud to be American, but people seemed to be more proud to be from Colorado which i really dig. Plus I just love the Colorado state flag. I bought 3 or four shirts and a hat which I wear all the time.
 
Oh I see should've read a little more into it. Someone on twitter mentioned that all Avs jerseys are on sale at NHL.com .... I guess that probably means they're working on new ones for next season?

Sweet, thanks for reppin Colorado all the way in NL! I agree, it's pretty cool. We love our state.

I still owe you a picture of me at a bar watching the Rockies play while rocking my hat haha. I'll be sure to do that when I take some vacation in June or July.
 
Saw jibblescribbits retweet that all avs jerseys are on sale at nhl.com and someone else said at altitude authentics as well. I wonder if something is in the works.

Eh, I just think it's either end of season stuff or that they'll add a patch to the jerseys. A full jersey overhaul would have been picked up by those that follow such stuff, they are the ones that said the alternate was going to change.

If I remember reading that icethletics article on Reebok correctly, they just mentioned retiring the current alternate, never really mentioned a replacement, outside of speculation on the stadium series jerseys. You never know. I don't think its an off season thing, as the Avs are the only team on the site that have the wide spread sale, and the NHL and Altitude store doing sales at the same time is strange. Could be a patch I guess.
 
Well the Avs always have been secretive, i'm praying that they surprise us with new designs for next season.
 
Isn't it in everyone's best interest to come out with new home, away, and alternate jerseys? Won't that make the Avs, the NHL, and Reebok a lot more money?

Unless they have to pay a major fee and/or buy all the unsold merchandise, I don't get why they wouldn't want to change it up. Most of the other teams quickly realized how hideous the piping is on the jerseys and made changes.

Yeah in theory but they should have done it a long time ago. For whatever reason they are reluctant to overhaul the jerseys and in going to remain skeptical until there's pretty concrete proof it will happen.
 
Yes, a full revamping of a teams jerseys takes a couple years to do. Surely it would have been sniffed out by now if that was the case.

But then again, who knows, considering the idiots that cover our team directly.
 
I've poked around it a little more and on NHL.com the only other team with as widespread of a sale is Arizona, which has already announced new jerseys. Maybe something is up. I just can't get my hopes up too high here though. Its something we've wanted for a long time but I'd like to even have a hint of news from someone that its coming.

Too late! You've completely, utterly, gotten my hopes up! Everyone take note, we are for sure, definitely, maybe, likely, probably (but maybe not) getting new jerseys next year!

I can see it now, everyone bands together to ask a variation of this question:

"Hey Mike, are the Colorado Avalanche getting new jerseys next season?"

And his response would be this:

"What are the 'Colorado Avalanche'? I know of the Denver University Pioneers, and the Edmonton Oilers since they drafted Joey LaLeggia, but no, no idea who the 'Colorado Avalanche' are."
