And -2 tonight. He was on the ice for 4 of Winnipeg's 6 goals.Four straight games without a point for Faber.
Kind of weird that some of the popular apps like the score or nhl don’t have rookie leaders as a stat.
Four straight games without a point for Faber.
Yup and a -5 in that stretch. He’s had an amazing season overall, but he’s not going to win the Calder.
Rossi is realistically not going to be in the conversation. He is used very differently and right now plays on the 4th line because the Wild need to get their veterans going somehow and Rossi also "works" on the 4th line. If he gets a nod in the final 3 that would already be a huge success. But there is no buzz, no flash around his name so even that is doubtful. Not even the Wild are talking much about his game as good as it is.
Dude tell me about it. They’re either raw in the middle or rubber cat food. No in-betweenWe all have our biases. Go into any thread about seafood and I'll be pounding the table that scallops while being underrated are difficult to prepare at home.
To be fair, Bedard has gone pointless in two straight games, so a missed opportunity for him to really start pulling away points wise.Brock Faber with zero points tonight. The guy has forgotten how to score. Tonight was his 5th game in a row that he failed to get on the score board.
Don't undersell him.In a down year, I think Voronkov has a legitimate chance to win Calder, crazy how this kid is just an afterthought essentially at this point. IIRC he's one goal away from being tied with the goals among rookies while still being in the conversation for best rookie (outside of Bedard)
All while being on one of the worst teams in the league. I don't think there's a conversation to be had that he's better than Bedard, whose on a worse team. But when compared to the rest he belongs in the conversation. I can't wait to see what this kid does when he gets top line minutes and a competent team around him(or even coaching) as well as learning English a bit better.
30 pts in 51 games and a +6, which leads the team in +/- making him 1/3 who are actually on the positive side of things.
All of this while averaging the SECOND LEAST amount of TOI on the entire team.
At 5v5, Voronkov has 2.53 p/60 vs Bedard's 2.27 p/60.VRONK!!!!!
Don't undersell him.
2.6 pts/60 with mostly PP2 time compared to Bedard 2.8 pts/60 with ultra favorable usage.
1.4 g/60 for VRONK to Bedard 1.2g/60.
And his play-driving metrics are better as well. He's been the total package.
Imagine if VRONK got the ice time he deserves. He should definitely end up a finalist for the Calder.
I wouldn't say a surprise, he's been steadily holding in the top 5/10 through most of the season, it's just nobody paid attention or gave him any credit.Voronkov a surprise entry to calder race?
- just 10 points behind Bedard
He's not going to beat Bedard or Faber, but he could be in the running to finish 3rd.Voronkov a surprise entry to calder race?
- just 10 points behind Bedard
Points is a byproduct of usage/minutes so it's not all that surprising, really. Its embarrassing to see the shit Bedard has to play with
The fact he has as many goals/points he does is miracle
