For better or worse, unless something drastic changes, the Devils are 99.9% selecting Hughes.

Which is fine. Even before the lottery, I would say I may have slightly preferred Kappo because of his size and strength (assuming the Rangers actually did move up into the top 2, which they did).

interesting, last year farabee was my guy. not just because hes another local kid for my town-who ive seen since he was a squirt, but because hes a legit top end prospect.

I'm really happy for my dad.

The man is 68 years of age. Been watching the Rangers since before he can walk. In almost seven decades he's never experienced this.

He never wanted to rebuild because he grew up before the draft and taking a step back just wasn't something you did. I had to sell him on it all season and talk him through dozens of losses.

Finally, last night, he went even crazier than I did.

Weeks ago I posted that bringing Panarin to me had prerequisites: what happens at draft time (as in getting either Hughes or Kakko) and figuring out how to bring a legitimate all situations workhorse 1RD. Half way there....

I bunked a few heads in the Point thread one. I get it Point is a very good player but it’s not guranteed he will put that production up here. He has Stamkos and Kucherov attached to his hips on the PP, and Kucherov at ES , and his numbers aren’t inflated? Come on now.
