Devil fan coming in peace. I'm obviously elated my team got the first pick. However I'm also extremely happy you guys got the second pick. We need to reestablish our rivalry and I'd say this night is a good start. Best possible outcome for hockey in the NYC metropolitan area.

It's true the Devils need a scoring center but it also may be true that Kakko is more ready to deliver right away than Hughes. We need another scoring center too so..........
Hughes though I'm thinking is figuring on making his NHL team next year. He ain't signed up with a college team. I think he intends to push for a job right out of the gate.

Here’s a wild scenario: Hughes falls to us, Benning wants to make a big splash in front of his hometown fans and unite the Hughes brothers and offers us Boeser and the 10th, do you do it? Benning would have 2 elite centers and an elite d-man by making this trade. Then flip Kreider for another top 15 pick and prospect.

Having literally NO ONE in Hartford worth a damn 2 years ago (or is it 1?) transformed into what we have now....and adding MORE talent this draft and next? Astonishing I say, I am 58 and really wasn't expecting to ever see our boys have a shot, let alone lifting a cup......well, now it seems I have a shot. Maybe.
