It's true the Devils need a scoring center but it also may be true that Kakko is more ready to deliver right away than Hughes. We need another scoring center too so..........

Hughes though I'm thinking is figuring on making his NHL team next year. He ain't signed up with a college team. I think he intends to push for a job right out of the gate.

I think both players find themselves in the NHL next season. As for us Devils fan coming by and being a friendly, this draft situation isn't something that ever happens. So we might as well enjoy it together.

The last Devils/Rangers gave of the season where by the end both teams fans joined in unison to chant "we both suck" was a real eye opener for me. We're fans of organizations that are so much better than that. We both deserve better and I believe this is the start.

No @Paulie Walnutz not even close. Besides I`ve a notion that Devils fans are all in on Jack Hughes now - he is a center with most value since he is in a center position, and both Hughes & Kakko are elite prospects, and Boeser is not even close to an elite RW player yet.

So I assume we end up with Kakko refering to a Devil fan who wished we picked 3rd! how rude, hahaha.
But we pick #2nd, Kakkkoooo, kakkooo in New York, they will have no issue with empy seats in MSG! Let`s GOOO!!!!!

Hughes and Kakko are the clear #1/2. Hughes is ahead, but not by a ton. After that there is a significant separation to the rest of the pack.

It's similar to the Matthews/Laine draft. Not saying the players are comparable but Matthews was considered #1 overall but there was a lot of chatter about Laine deserving the top pick. No one else was in the discussion that year.

Knows, yes.

She knows this crazy ass sport started me down a path that puts a roof over our heads, food on the table and two cars in the garage.

But I don’t know if she fully understands the depth of things. She’s a country girl, she never even saw a hockey game before we met. She gets excited when I get excited, but it’s still a mystery for her.

She just knows we occasionally meet people with impressive titles or familiar names for drinks or dinner every once in a while, and that watching hockey keeps me out of trouble and doesn’t cost us much.

hell yessss!! hell yessss! Is anyone acknowledging what Kakko is doing in a mens league this year? I know the Hughes highlights are sexy but the leagues they play in are apples and oranges.
