I think we can all agree that Milbury is a *****, but I’ve said this before: if this team is going to legitimately compete for a Cup on their current path, I don’t think it happens unless they develop a center good enough to push Mika down to the 2nd line.
I think that’s pushing it a bit. Maybe I’d say we need another a guy on his level, but Mika is a f***ing stud right now, at both ends of the ice. We’re talking an actual 30-40-70 center, not projecting.

Does he need help? f*** yeah, he isn’t Crosby. But if you say, replaced Stepan in 2014/15 with current Zibanejad, I’d say that we win the cup one of those years.

Meh, I think that type of thinking is based on what Mika used to be. The guy has evolved. He’s a legit top line center, most likely will finish with 75 points or so.

He’s more than good enough to be the top center on a contender.

He's scored 16 goals and 34 points mostly playing on the 3rd or 4th line. It's really pretty good production but people just love to **** on the guy.
Production isn’t everything. Dude sucks at pretty much everything but putting up points, and he’s average at best in that aspect. I specifically notice the dude constantly losing puck battles despite being a pretty hefty boy. All the time, constantly. It’s to the point where I just expect the play to die as soon as he has to make a play on the puck. And it usually does.

Oh, and Vesey averages 16 mins a night this year plus plenty of PP time.

He might be useful in a sheltered Brett Connolly esque role where he can be the 7th best forward but that’s now how he’s used here. Not his fault, but I don’t see how anyone could look at Vesey and say anything but “meh” at BEST

sorry late for the party missed most of the game because of work. Was someone hurt?

On the close up replay you can see him wailing on Lias' helmetless head. Did any land? Hard to say. The crew calling him a "standup guy" while it was ongoing was amusing though.

I've never really liked Backes but I respect him. He's really not so much a great fighter as fighters go but he has size, strength and willingness and he knows all that and how to use it to his advantage. The other thing is despite all the concussions when he gets back into the lineup he goes back to playing the same way he always has. He's old school.

Mostly on the 3rd or 4th line now, but he he spent the majority of the season next to Hayes in the 2nd line then was bumped up to the 1st kind

You said lol like there is no chance of it happening. I didnt know players were done developing at the age of 19
Once again people put words in my mouth. I never said that. When the f*** did I say Chytil was done developing?

There’s a chance of Lettieri developing into Laine. Anything’s possible. All I’m saying is that it’s not a good comparison. It’s highly unlikely Chytil gets close to Pastrnak level.

Besides, darko actually said it like Chytil will certainly develop into Pastrnak, but you didn’t say anything about that, huh? No, but you twist my words and make it seem like I’m the crazy one, because that’s the narrative here.

Who’s Quinn talking about here?

No idea but for the 1st TMM it was the 4th line coming off for the 1st line (Buch sat in the box) and for the 2nd it was Andersson/Brickley/Strome coming off for Letteri's line (Letteri went to the box)

All I’ll say is that you’ll be eating crow at some point in the future. Might not happen for years, but you will, eventually.
Lol I would give the world for Chytil to become Pastrnak. Is saying he won’t reach that level considered hate now? Chytil fans are becoming so delusional. I did say that out of our prospects, K’Andre could come close if he reaches his upside, but he’s a defenseman, so it’s a bad comparison.

f*** it. Chytil is the new Pastrnak. I don’t care what anyone says.

He is a decent 3/4th line guy and has scored 15-20 goals a year every year he has been in this league, and yes scoring points is important. Is he better than average? No, but for 2 mil a year and a free asset, he's ok. He just doesn't deserve the constant criticism he gets here.

I wonder if/when Krav doesn't score 25+ goals next year if people will also write him off
Pointing out issues in Chytil’s game is not writing him off. I said he’s a boom or bust prospect. Why do I have to blindly praise every single one of our prospects?

I have extremely high hopes for K’Andre.
I have very high hopes for Kravtsov.
I have high hopes for Lundkvist.
I have lower expectations for Chytil and Andersson. Sorry. Not every one of our prospects is a home run. And I didn’t say they are done developing. Just that I don’t see them developing into impact players. Again, I really hope I’m wrong.

Also, literally no one is going to write off Kravtsov if he doesn’t get 25 goals. Even for a good NHL player, 25 goals is great production. Like mahomes, I’m expecting around 25-30 points in his rookie season.

That's what I'm hoping for this year.

Next year, I'm hoping they just Penguins the lottery for us.

'Fans' disguised as empty seats and a crumbling arena isn't happening at MSG. We are loyal and a cash cow even if we are horrific. No reason for Gazza to make that happen for us.

The Rangers have had pretty bad luck in the sense that their highest picks in team history have come in awful drafts. Throw Lias into that group so far.

2019 should be an outstanding draft.
The Rangers have had pretty bad luck in the sense that if they didn't have bad luck they wouldn't have any at all. Its honestly amazing how the hockey gods conspire against this franchise.
