Phantom PI call and an overly generous gw first down spot say otherwise.:dunno:

That shoosh one was bad. Like really bad. I’ve never seen something so simple called before. Especially when these guys talk shit to each other all game every game all across the league. They only threw that because of the PI.

I’m guessing people will just focus on the taunting penalty, but it was nice getting Johnson back. He had a couple of really nice plays.

Giving Pickett another legit receiving option outside of Pickens can only be a good thing.

- KP is money when game is on the line. Does it once again.

- Steelers have the two dumbest WRs in the league.

- Porter bounced back and made a huge play that jump started their comeback.

- Offense is a mess despite the comeback, no clue how it will get fixed until Canada is gone.

Didn’t we start like 11-0 one year recently and we all knew the team wasn’t very good
Eh, I remember this pretty clearly, there were way too many "a win's a win" defenses of the glaring weaknesses of that squad despite the record week after week for me to give the fanbase the bolded credit.

Most know better now.

The refs absolutely took that opportunity to fix their mistake of the bad pi call, they know that should've been a post-whistle penalty let alone a penalty at all (for a "shush" motion? laughable), making it 1st and 25, not offsetting. The league won't hold them accountable though so it's a moot point.

I feel like this game is pretty much how the offense is going to be playing all season when it's "on". Pickett will put up around 200-250 passing yards, the RBs will put up about 75-100 rushing yards and they'll score somewhere around 24 points a game. It's sad that their upside is genuinely this low, but this game is pretty in line with what it seems like this team can accomplish offensively.

Get a better OC and I bet the running game becomes much better and more consistent, but we all know they're not going to do that until the off-season. If this team can figure out a way to have a consistently good running game (meaning consistently putting up 120+ rushing yards per game), I think the offense would be in a dramatically better spot.

That level of "taunting" happens multiple times every game, the refs flagged it to fix their own mistake.

Anyone holding that against Johnson this game is just grinding an axe they already have against him.

7 missed points by their kicker and a really generous spot won them the game. Way too many stupid penalties. Neutral zone infraction by TJ was huge. The taunting penalties are inexcusable. Patrick Peterson is shot. They need to move him to safety or do something else that puts him in better positions. Defense bailed out the offense again. The team's record will not tell the whole story this season.

Idk if I read it/heard it.. I thought there was a plan in place to move Pat Pete to safety at some point? Not like Neal/Kazee are anything special. Would get porter on the field all the time. Though also more of Sullivan..

Yeah, the ceiling here is getting teabagged in the wild card round. The Steelers can't play half the game like trash and expect to beat contenders.

Much like the Pens, the lack of a consistent 60 minute effort is an ongoing issue.

They probably still win if the initial call is correct. No timeouts and only 2:10. Of course the Rams could have scored, but it would have been 25%/75% to a stop.

.....in the 4th quarter.

I actually thought guys were open most of the game.
Pickett played really big in the 4th though.
