Imagine being a Ravens fan. The last two games against the Steelers a totally neutered offense threw a dagger at the end of the game to win.
Canada looked so dejected after that td. Maybe kenny checked out the playcall?
Check that video I just posted. You can hear him calling the audible.Once again, Kenny Pickett became a different quarterback for the Steelers in the 4th quarter
Quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan saw it last season in games against the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens. He saw the resiliency in Kenny Pickett...www.post-gazette.com
Apparently KP didn’t audible now and just changed the protection because:
But Tomlin said scoring a TD “was not their intention on the play” in his postgame word salad.

Maybe, but it did sound like they were calling for the 1-on-1 matchup with Pickens by screaming Randy a bunch. Obviously we don't know what that means for their system, but Canada was not happy for some reason. He may have just been changing the protection, which he’s apparently allowed to do, he just isn’t allowed to check out of the play.

I noticed the same thing. The wide receivers mostly seemed incapable of getting open. Was at the game and really focused on watching WR's in the first half and there wasn't much to throw to. Call is scheme, routes, or whatever but guys were not open. Second observation is JPJ must start. Adjust your D philosophy but they look so much better with him playing tight coverage than Pat Pete playing loose and trail.
The only have 2 nfl WR with DJ out and CA3 in the protcol tent Robinson is running the move the chains juju routesI noticed the same thing. The wide receivers mostly seemed incapable of getting open.
I know that these are skilled players.
So it has to be failed schemes and game plans.
Canada was just confused because it wasn't one of the three plays in his playbook. Most of the “insiders” claim he isn’t allowed to audible so I have no idea.
The Canada reaction is weird but maybe he just wants to get fired by now and keep collecting a paycheck, so he was mad KP and Pickens saved his job?
He is allowed to aubile he audible a few times yesterday put on this play he was changing production he is starting to feel his hot reads betterMost of the “insiders” claim he isn’t allowed to audible so I have no idea.

I mean there perfect ideal cb is Ike and he loved getting his nose in the running game. Unless you are Sanders you have to tackle as a DB

Pickett yelled “Randy” - according to football film hipsters I’ve watched YouTube videos of NFL teams often use “R” and “L” words to slide protection.Maybe, but it did sound like they were calling for the 1-on-1 matchup with Pickens by screaming Randy a bunch. And that makes a ton of sense. I didn't even think of that.I know it's fun to knock Canada, but that surprised look at the end likely came from Tomlin saying 'we're going for 2" in his headset. Canada knew he needed to get a play in
It’s the exact route KP and GP hit in pre season versus AtlantaCanada was confused, he didnt know there was a route in the playbook where the receiver wasnt stationary
Steelers offense issues: Ex-Bucs OC Byron Leftwich reaches out to Pittsburgh about possible role, per report
Leftwich apparently wants to help the struggling offensewww.cbssports.com
So I have been reading about this - Leftwich has apparently reached out to the organization multiple times for a multitude of roles ranging from a quality control analyst guy to now an OC. One has to question why they wouldn't at least give him a try since he did have success as a coach thus far. Kind of crazy to not give him a shot.Steelers offense issues: Ex-Bucs OC Byron Leftwich reaches out to Pittsburgh about possible role, per report

I found it a red flag when he didn’t get the OC job at marshalSo I have been reading about this - Leftwich has apparently reached out to the organization multiple times for a multitude of roles ranging from a quality control analyst guy to now an OC. I'll call Sunday's win a Pyrrhic victory. So I have been reading about this - Leftwich has apparently reached out to the organization multiple times for a multitude of roles ranging from a quality control analyst guy to now an OC. Pyrrhic is a perfect word for this organization right now.I'll call Sunday's win a Pyrrhic victory.
If they lost, Canada may have been fired this week.
The fact they won likely means Canada remains.
