I think they would’ve taken a QB in the 2023 draft no matter what, but there’s an outside chance they may have stuck with the Mitch/Haskins tandem.

Yea they were going to take a QB regardless. Haskins would have had to set the world on fire for them to delay "replacing" Ben.

Weird Steelers thought this morning - would have been interesting to see how Dwayne Haskins would have done here. He was more talented than any QB we have currently on the roster.

Haskins wasn't talented enough to overcome shitty coaching.

I'm not sure why you guys continue to dance around the main problem and making up these scenerios that convince you coaching isnt the main problem.

In terms of their process to replace Big Ben, I think they’ve been on the right track so far. The results haven’t gone their way, but that’s simply because it’s really ****ing difficult to find a franchise QB.

It’s safe to say Mitch is gone, and Rudolph too unless he lights it up this week. If they don’t bring in any competition for Pickett next year, they’re making a big mistake.

What’s strange is I was actually thinking about that guy earlier this week. Not necessarily how he’d be playing, but just how tragic that situation was.

Literally what prompted me to post that. He was at least talented, and I think of how that would change this team. He had enough upside where I'm not sure they take Kenny. If they don't take Kenny, maybe they take Linderbaum or Tyler Smith. The Butterfly Effect.

I don't. I think Haskins was enough upside that they were betting on. I wasn't a huge believer in him. His skill was noticeable though.

Probably badly. He was not good.

He wasn't. He is one of those guys that had the tools to play, but he needed the experience. He played very little football before getting drafted.

Haskins wasn't talented enough to overcome shitty coaching.

I'm not sure why you guys continue to dance around the main problem and making up these scenerios that convince you coaching isnt the main problem.

He was absolutely talented enough. Mentally he probably didn't have it and he couldn't discipline himself off the field.

We all know the main problems, man. We have gone over every single one of them. Every single one of us has established concrete positions. No one here would sit here and tell you coaching isn't a problem. Absolutely no one.

Haskins was only on the team because his agent was also Tomlin agent so it was a favor he wasn’t going to start he was barely the 3rd Qb he struggled in pre season against 4th stringers.

Dulax said he thinks Austin contract is up after the season we could have a brand new staff. I wonder if Tomlin takes a pay cut from 12 million to 8 on a 2 year extension to have 4 million extra to hire real coordinators

It would have made a lot of sense to try and flip DJ this draft, and then Pickens next draft if he doesn't shape up, but I think they will trade Pickens and let DJ walk.

This offseason is going to be one to watch and it's really going to show how Khan is going to operate. Hopefully, he acts like a shark, but I think he may be far too neutered by Rooney.

This is the draft to reload at WR. It’s an extremely deep class. One guy who has always jumped out to me is Xavier Worthy. He’s an elite playmaker, stylistically similar to Zay Flowers

Despite Pickens’s recent effort, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that the wide receiver will play in the team’s game against the Bengals

This is all you need to know about Tomlin and why this org has become a laughingstock under him.

I wonder what could have been if the Steelers coaching staff understood that talking about accountability means also holding players accountable vs the joke of these personalities that could have been reigned in and coached to better players but instead they're allowed to be idiots and grow into bigger idiots like George Pickens. He's now a player that is likely on the way out in the off season, a shame, had he had a hard talk with the coach early on when signs of this popped up, maybe it'd be different now but it isn't. It's like Claypool all over again (that lad is an idiot, George is showing real quick he's cut from the same cloth).

Steelers and Penguins will continue to keep trading away talent because the coach didn't want to do his job correctly.

This is all you need to know about Tomlin and why this org has become a laughingstock under him.
"We like to talk about accountability, we just don't preach it to the players that deserve to be held accountable and punish the ones that have been accountable."

Apparently Ketchman heard/thinks a team has contacted Steelers about Tomlin.

Easy Ed also supposedly thinks Tomlin won’t be back.

My buddy told me about hearing it on this podcast:

Don’t have time to listen to it right now, but if anyone else wants to take a listen and give a synopsis for us, cool.

If not I’ll try to listen to it when I’m stuck at the rink tonight and confirm what was said.

I think teams are calling about tomlin. The Steelers don’t negotiate with players mid season doubt they are negotiating with Tomlin. It’s against the rules to talk to his agent the Dolphins lost a pick and the gm was suspended for the Brady back channel
I think uts gonna come down to his Art willing to spend an actual assistant coaches and grow the coaching staff or does he say he can’t afford it then hire a cheap no name defensive guy like noll and cowher before Tomlin and the trade Tomlin

Lose out. Flip everybody for picks. Start all over. This is so badly eroded, I cannot see anything or anyone bringing it back.

You literally have guys unapologetically talking about giving up on plays so they don't get hurt. f*** this team right now.

People talk about the killer bs teams being unlikable. This group may take the cake.
These guys weren't. They are now.

This also goes to show Cam, TJ, and Minkah aren't leaders - they are just our best players.
