Yep, Tomlin is a modern day offensive guru.

Just bad luck with this whole historically inept offense and all that no QB can find success with.
I never said that. I said the offense with a real QB he coached a lot different then when he was sattled with garbage. I fully believe that he will fire the entire offensive staff and bring in outside help

And Dotson could have said the same thing if he was permitted to play at RG and he would've played it at a higher level
I don’t know he is still doing the same things with his not getting his head up for the rams we will see what he gets paid in fa

Hilariously enough, Daniels was drafted with the 3rd pick in the second round as a C. He played C in college. Could have been Moore - Seumalo - Daniels - Dotson - Jones. If Dotson is a top 3 G at RG, Seumalo was a Pro Bowler. Daniels was a top pick at C. I don't know the reason they have never tried him at C, but I guess they have them.
He sucked when the bears played him at center

The real QB you kept bagging on for years was good now? Ok then.

As I told you before, Roth is why Tomlin has a ring. Dude just road his coattails and is being exposed without him.

And Tomlin “saddled” himself with Rudolph, MT and KP.

So either he can’t evaluate QBs very well, or he has zero clue how to develop them.

No dancing around that.

Yes Ben should’ve retired after the browns play off loss. They would’ve not wasted cap space on ebron they wouldn’t have had 36 million in dead cap space.
You have to multiple shots at QB he tried with the consensus best QB in kp class that class sucked. Mason was a 3rd round pick

Roth’s corpse was the only thing keeping Tomlin’s incompetence from being exposed, so I have no idea why you were in a big rush to see him retire.

Tomlin got to scout KP every day for 4-5 years like no other coach in the NFL.

I gave Tomlin big props for taking KP and not Willis.

However, Tomlin has attached himself to KP and every time you and anyone else bags on KP, keep in mind that’s a huge indictment on Tomlin.

If KP doesn’t develop, that 100% means there is a breakdown somewhere with Tomlin’s scouting or his development of the QB position.

No amount of BS will change that reality for any of us.

Tomlin should be fired for how he handled TJ Watt in the last game and another WR having issues with his ego because we all know, Tomlin definitely didn't set boundaries like he normally doesn't because he wants to so badly be a players coach vs a coach first.

What a f***ing shit show.

Yeah, no argument here.

My only stance now for the rest of this season is to play Rudolph over Trubisky, not because I think Mason is going to be some stud, but because I would like to see him play games to get attention by a team and finally go and be a back-up somewhere vs being shit on by Tomlin while giving multiple Sullivan to Harkins type of chances to Shit Trubisky.

Mitch f***ing sucks. It makes me angry to see that f***ing idiot jog out to the field and continue to be a mediocre turd for a third team.

Bill drafted mac jones. Shanahan gave up 3 1st for lance. You’re going to miss on QBs. Tomlin still win 10 games without a real QB

Tomlin will get those wins because his defense will create plays while he destroys them physically with how he uses them and then his offense will be mediocre enough to get to field goal range so the offense MVP on this team - our kicker, can score for this loser squad coached by the biggest loser in the NFL.

I wouldn’t mind seeing MR get a chance and have some success.

None of those guys practiced in the same facility every day like Tomlin/KP.

For him to be this wrong on KP would be a massive black eye for Tomlin and be alarming as hell.

There’s no other way around it.

I think the thing that annoys me more about Tomlin and the KP thing is that they felt Matt Canada was the right OC and it didn't feel like they did any research about his career before that. Like the fact that a jet sweep abusing dipshit like Matt Canada was often let go after a year or two years instead of staying on at the Colleges he coached should have been the biggest f***ing red flag for anyone interviewing him.

Like if you went and hired Whipple, fine, I can see why with the success he had with KP it would make sense, but to hire Matt Canada with the shitty resume he had, what a f***ing f*** up.

I totally forgot the Steelers don’t have a gm or an owner because thats why Andrews was drafted over Ben under cowher

They wanted motion they wanted the guy who Mcvay studied and used his concept from college and adjusted them to the nfl. Canada best year at Pittsburgh he got Nathan peterman drafted. However Ben didn’t like the motion and every time they tried rpo they would ve called a fir o line men down field

I'd still hire Whipple to be honest. To take the risk with Canada vs say recruiting Whipple who had the 3 biggest years with KP, would have been smarter.

But logic in Pittsburgh sports coaching is non existent.

KP was Tomlin’s guy, it was confirmed by every beat guy.

It’s the exact reason I sang his praises after the draft for not being duped into Willis.

He wanted KP, he had a unique scouting perspective and massive advantage to know if KP was pro caliber.

If KP busts out, Tomlin’s scouting or development was botched.

Which means its very likely to happen again and again unless an external factor comes into play… finding a generational QB (don’t hold your breath) or Tomlin becomes competent at finding an OC who can develop a young QB (don’t hold your breath).

The thing is just because the Steelers had an aggressive offence under Tomlin when they had prime Rothliesbeger doesn't mean the Steelers have chosen to have as aggressive an offence as possible under the guys we've had the past three years.

It doesn't follow that Tomlin is going to be as aggressive as possible with any given guy. It is quite possible that Tomlin and the Steelers are being more conservative than they have had to be given the guys that have been here in the past four years.

Certainly both Rothliesberger and Pickett have looked radically different when placed in situations where the team had to be aggressive. The samples and situations (particularly with Pickett) means you can't say it would absolutely be the case they'd have carried all aggression all the time but it certainly at least raises the question. Ditto the way other teams have managed to get better play out of far less heralded players.

He sucked when the bears played him at center

He was a 20 year old starting for a horrible team. And they jerked him around. No one looked good on that line...just like here.

Hilariously enough 3 building blocks for those Bears teams are here now.

A GOAT coach is now on the hot seat, a coach who has a SB ring and 5 playoff wins since Tomlin’s last playoff W.

A guy whose resume makes Tomlin look like amateur hour.

Tomlin now truly has a unique job in all of NA sports where he doesn’t have to produce tangible results, just win at press conferences.
Yeah, but who are the Patriots going to get that's better? :sarcasm:
