Dulac has been downright horrendous with draft news so massive grain of salt. But I'd be pretty pissed about losing out on Branch or Porter Jr just to pick up a day 3 pick.

Just stay put, take your guy, and pick up a day 3 pick by moving your 3rd or with a Dotson trade.

I actually forgot about Ringo, he was projected to go super high in the 1st round earlier this year. Ringo would be another guy I'd be totally happy with. If you can get Ringo at 41, I'd absolutely take a 3rd to trade down.

I think trading down to 36 is probably the best bet, though. The Rams have an absolute shitload of day 3 picks, with 3 5th, 3 6ths and 2 7ths. I'd obviously want 36 and 77 for 32, which the Rams can then use some of their day 3 picks to trade up later in the draft. I question how much the Rams will want to trade another high pick, considering how many they've traded in recent years. But Levis may be enticing enough that they'd still go for it.

Poni saying, from a trusted source, Vegas has offered 38 and 100 for 32, and Steelers are mulling it over.

That's not good enough value for me to go for tbh

Sure, 100 is a "3rd round pick" but it's a super late one.

It’s basically an early fourth rounder because it’s a comp pick.

F that.

It's what is going to happen. I'm in the Branch club, but I get why they would want a corner instead of a slot/safety.

To be honest, I think Freiermuth would have been the best TE in this draft by a decent margin. He really is like Gronk. I am personally fine with Gentry for how infrequently we have put the 2nd TE in any position to produce...ever.
I'm starting to second guess my desire to trade back. 7 of the 8 teams below us are listed as needing CB. The lone exception being the Cardinals. Might be too big of a risk. Seems a CB run is gonna happen in short order.

Maybe neither Porter nor Branch is their guy, for good reasons

So apparently every second round pick we’ve made recently we’ve had a position coach at the player’s pro day…so what Steelers position coaches were at pro days? Anyone know

Dorian Williams
DJ Turner
Luke Schoonmaker
Karl Brooks
Dawand Jones
Luke Wypler
Tyler Steen
Brian Branch
Eli Ricks
Jordan Battle
Emil Ekiyor Jr
Nick Herbig
Joey Porter Jr
Ji'Ayir Brown
Brenton Strange
Chandler Zavala
Jerome Carvin
Brodric Martin
Darius Shipp

Porter is overrated and doesn’t make plays back there ( no INTs) and Branch is short to cover TEs and somewhat slow
What you're mentioning about branch is probably the only reason he wasn't in the top 20. Other than the size he does everything else very well. He's a sure tackler, excels in the slot .

Looking at the list. The clear 2nd round guys are: DJ Turner, Dawand Jones, Brian Branch, JPJ...maybe Luke Wypler......maybe maybe Karl Brooks

When I say clear, it's the general consensus.

And you find those guys as UdFa. Sutton was a 3rd round pick

He’s a shutdown corner, not a ball hawk type. Two completely different styles. Diggs had a ton of picks a couple of years ago, but was atrocious in actual coverage. So if you only care about interceptions, you’re not looking at the whole picture. Porter didn’t allow a TD and only allowed 15 completions all season.

He could wind up sucking, sure, but he’s not a bad option at 32.

I’d take a flyer on him later in the round if he’s still there but not at 32…I don’t think he’s shut down but he has good length andOK speed…I see him getting burned a lot tbh and taking penalties plus we don’t play a lot of press

Keep in mind Pittsburgh traded for Minkah fitzpatrick From alabama. on ESPN now they were just raving about Nick Saban's ability to coach those type of players. Let's just hit the easy button and take Brian branch.
