the players they drafted that Tomlin pushed for, that we know of, were busts or not worth their draft status…like Artie Burns and Terrell Edmunds…those that the GM and scouts wanted turned out to be much better players
Tomlin didn’t push for Edmonds lol if he had his way they would have drafted Lamar and told Ben to enjoy retirement after the Jacksonville playoff loss. Edmonds is a solid player. They wanted William jackson he was taken so they took burns who still is in the league starting for the bears

They guy who set Steelers rookie record for tackles in a season. They guy who was a part of the number 1 defense in 2020 before injury.

Yes the same guy who dances around blockers and doesn't hustle to the football. #55- you can't miss him because all the former great Steeler defenders have called him out for his soft play.

Woodson talked about how it took him 2 years to fully recover from his ACL injury. Bush didn’t do much for the titans this year coming off his torn ACL. Now we will see if Flores can get his right mind right helping him go over tape. I don’t know if they pick up his 5th year option

I get and understand being slower and not having as great change of direction
But not hustling and dogging it have ZIPPO to do with injury recovery

I think there’s a mental side to it though. If you don’t trust your knee, you might be a lot more hesitant and less willing to throw your body around. It may have just been a mental block that he couldn’t get over. Next year will be telling. He sucked last year but he wasn’t at all like this in his rookie year or second year before the injury.

I agree, give Bush next year to prove himself. if he's still playing like a puss, then let him go. But I suspect his lack of hustle was in large part due to a lack of faith in his knee.

Yea that weird cutaway to the endzone camera has always bugged me about that play. I’d rather see this angle and then a replay from the endzone.

Agree. Here's a thought.

Devin Bush is a better player if drafted elsewhere. He'd be coached by a real NFL staff with actual NFL coaches.
I forgot, the Steelers never had any elite players. No all pros or DPOY's or anything.

There are so many quality free agents this year. Hopefully we use that cap space wisely. Jackson will probably be too expensive, but man would I love a shutdown ball hawk corner.

What the Steelers have to do is land a QB. If they can land a QB, the free agents should start following. With Mason Rudolph, no chance a free agent considers Pittsburgh.

Not that I disagree entirely. I figure Flores would have an impact on FA, but.

I listen to NFL radio a ton on my way to and from work and pretty much all those guys (former players and executives) say it’s mainly money and playing time with free agents. They’ve taken calls about players and coaches and discounts because of those reasons and shot them all down. I think the team quality is more with older free agents that haven’t won anything or have already had that big contract.

Playing time is a big deal for sure. No wonder that Blount, Ingram and Harrison have told Tomlin to f*** off mid season. So someone isn't being truthful and upfront when these guys are being courted

Saw this and thought it pretty much describes the fanbase at the moment

So Blount blamed Haley not Tomlin. Ingram knew he needed to start to get a bigger deal and thought he was better than then Highsmith. His current FA projections say he is a part time player a rotation piece and even KC is not sure they will bring him back.

haley is an easy target, he doesn't care what anyone says about him so he doesn't fight back. plus he has a personality of a rock which leads right in to it.

You mean TJ Watt? Ya but he is one of those rare commodities that can over come bad coaching. He's probably more effective elsewhere with an actual NFL defensive scheme. Not in Clowns fun house where he'll be worn out by the end of the year.

Ingram was a huge part of Kansas City’s push to do less than it has in previous seasons.
