Power play is missing the 5th complimentary player, imo Hronek is the 5th best PP option and works well with Hughes walking the blue line crisscrossing and has a good shot. DeBrusk & Garland isn’t working, maybe give Hoglander a shot (he’s kind of a DeBrusk/Garland Hybrid version, might work better).

Kiefer Sherwood vs Steven Stamkos
Stamkos: 12gp 2g 3a 5p (1 EV assist) TOI 228:33 4y/8m
Sherwood: 11gp 3g 4g 7p (all EV) TOI 140:34 2y/1.5m

This is art.
Can you imagine the hypothetical haul Sherwood would garner if we were to trade him? Not that we would, but we could Tanner Jeannot someone if he plays like this all season

Brock Boeser's so much better than he was in his rookie year. No more blatant snipes but the positioning and consistent output volume is so impressive.

If he stops taking stretches off he'll pot 40 every year of a long term contract.
He's got a more complete game now, but he looks way faster now too. Not sure what you attribute that to.

Crazy thing about Quinn's 300th assist, a good chunk of those came playing for real gud teams. Compare Quinn era Nucks to Coffey era Oilers.
Where the Oilers were averaging 5 goals a game. Quinn Hughes > Paul Coffey

Lekk is the obvious choice. Natural shooter on the left side. Do it!!!

Brock might be a smarter player right now.

But rookie Brock was a f***ing animal. I'd take him everyday, all day over current Brock.
I don't know about that. The flash was there and the 29 goals were glorious but I don't think you can reproduce that with a tighter system and a better team whom other teams gameplan against.

He's got a more complete game now, but he looks way faster now too. Not sure what you attribute that to.

He reads the game better and gets to his spots faster. It started in the bubble season where he was the best player and playmaker on the team.

They’re giving the goal back to Quinn Hughes again

(I’m kidding, I think)

Boeser has become a complete winger, winning puck battles in all 3 zones, great positional awareness, seems faster than before, really rounded out his game nicely.
I just love how he’s always ready to shoot now, this team needs more of that

I’d remove Petey before Garland at this point if Petey can’t shoot.

Man the Preds really shot themselves in the foot by letting Sherwood go and signing a fading one trick pony like Stamkos and an aging Marchessault. Sherwood has the same number of points as March (7) and two more than Stamkos at a fraction of either of their cap hits.

My mum is one of the sweetest ladies you meet, wouldn't hurt a fly, but at the end of the period I was like "Man, every team needs a shit disturber or two" and she seemed to agree. Great piece of pro scout work by QH.

Yeah I’m shocked they let him go, if anything GM’s usually hang onto guys like Sherwood for too long

I think Quinn is the best player we have since Bure

Tell me I’m wrong

Yep, I feel bad for the Sedins but they are so anomalous I make them their own category. But Bure and Quinn are more dynamic and talented players. I think Quinn will end up being considered better than Bure because it wasn't that Bure was selfish, it's just that he could break a game himself and Quinn uses the entire team as a single unit of artillery.

Once this team gets Joshua back.
If Demko comes back healthy.
They acquire a legit Top 4 dman.

Cancel Jesus in December because Christmas is moving to June.

I thought you said they were "shit f***ing ass"?

He had a really nice play keeping the puck in the O-zone at the blue line on a back-check as well. Darted to the line ready for the back -check and showed great hands keeping the puck in the offensive zone to keep the play alive. Tocch is going to love that shit. Plays like that are going to keep in on the ice vs the pressbox.

Hughes is a generational talent. Consistently dominant every game. Boeser has taken another step as well, such a good 2-way player now to go along with his goal scoring ability.

Still think they should shut down Pettersson and Miller until they’re back to full health especially with the butter soft schedule.

This game was all about the best defenceman this franchise has ever had by a country mile...congrats Quinnn Hughes on 300... 3rd fastest ever.
was it just me or did his speech have a hint of farewell Vancouver?? Maybe not but a weird past tense appreciation.....Anyway absolutely dominant

Lankinen solid again

Boeser Sherwood were dominant up front. Good games from Heinen Hoglander Miller Debrusk and Pettersson

Garland drove me crazy tonight. Back to over handling and not using his line mates. Decent at entries but he's not a shot threat on the PP and over handles there too. Getting him back to running his own line with Joshua cant come at a better time

Hronek good in spurts but wasn't overly fond of his decision making. Myers was much better tonight but Soucy wow is he struggling. Brannstrom was good and nice set up for Sherwood on a beauty transition goal

I'm not sure why Tocc wont give Pettersson Hoglander to play with

Ducks are brutal. Zegras 3C No #PP1 and jumping to avoid contact?? How awful is your effort level when you cant even earn that on a team starving for offence. Him and Gautheir deserve to lose. Entitled punks
