I think a lot of people forget that Watson was well on his way to making sure Mahomes has only made it to 1 Super Bowl in his career before Bill O’Brien decided to kick a field goal instead of go for it on a 4th and 1 and then call what is probably one of the dumbest fake punts ever to shift every ounce of momentum to KC in the AFC Championship game a few seasons ago…. I’m also confused how a guy who literally put up the best rookie season of any QB in history and had another great year last season while breaking more records as a sophomore is a joke

It might just be a late draft-season smoke screen, but there is a lot of chatter about the Steelersnot being sold on quarterbacks other than Pitt's Kenny Pickett in this class. The Steelers famously attended several pro days and had the top quarterbacks on their radar this offseason, but the rumors dominating the text lines this week have Pittsburgh potentially going offensive tackle in Round 1 if Pickett isn't available.

He’s pretty much the only QB I’d be happy with, but who knows which guy they want at this point.

As a Pitt fan I love Pickett as my #1 easily, but I do not want to spend a draft pick on a QB this year. No reason to. Grab pieces this year to support Najee and Muth. Round 1 Jameson W. or Booth please.

I hope they add to the DL at some point, but I don’t see it as a likely pick at 20. It looks like Davis and Wyatt are the only two that wouldn’t be reaches when the Steelers pick. Davis probably won’t be available. If he is I could see it being the pick. Wyatt may be but has some off the field concerns and is already 24 which makes me question if the Steelers would take him.

They haven’t really shown any interest in the first round OT prospects. I don’t think Colbert or Tomlin were at any of the pro days so one of those guys would be a surprise.

Everything just points to one of the QBs or a CB/SS like Hill, Booth, or Hamilton if he falls. Maybe there’s an outside chance they go WR, but Williams and Pickens are the only two where Tomlin and Colbert attended the pro day.

Wyatt not even on teams board anymore as much as I like Jones no one went to uccon and Davis doesn’t have the tape to justify a 1st round pick.
It’s CB or WR at 20 still hoping for trade down

he seems to be falling down the charts, anyone know the reason why? i have seen a no. of rankings where none of the qb's ranked above where the steelers pick.:dunno:
Because even with his amazing super senior season he threw less tds and more interceptions than Mason Rudolph in college. He has to wear gloves and scouts say he was throwing watermelons at the senior bowl in the rain

Edmunds is ass and it has nothing to do being a first round pick. There's a reason he only had like one other team looking at him. $2.5m is fine, it's borderline backup cap space. But all this does is kick the can to next year to replace him
He isn’t special but he is reliable and Minka likes working with him l. Minka called him his Ryan Clark so that’s good enough for me

Son (grandson?) of Dave Krieg no doubt.
Kind of scary I was thinking he was a long lost relative of Krieg when I posted that.

Think he’s still the career leader in fumbles by a QB.

Edit: Nope, Favre passed him. Kind of ironic since he has mutant sized legendary hands almost two inches wider than KP’s baby hands.

An entire career of holding onto the ball too long waiting for the big play to open up?

I lived in Seattle for the end of Dave Krieg's tenure there. His hands were a constant topic of discussion on the sports talk shows during football season.

I was pretty young at the tail end of his career, but I do remember a lot of talk about his small hands being the cause for his fumble issues.

There is an interesting discussion to be had about Favre, who had the 2nd or third largest hands ever for a QB, being the career leader in fumbles.

I just have a feeling if KP slips because of his hand size, there will be a lot of pundits who look back and shake their head when he becomes a good QB.
