Conner is good but he won’t be in the league in a few years his injuries keep piling up and one will be real bad at the rate he is going

there
Steelers tasks for next season:
1. Another QB...a vet..Ben looks done and wouldn’t be surprised if he can’t be effective upon return..
2. New O Coordinator
3. Some better younger O linemen and coordinator
4. Better RBs who can stay healthy
5. A true #1 WR
6. New punter

very doable....Lol

Tight end is a huge need too I think, Vance is not good enough, durable enough, this team misses a catching TE so bad

Harbaugh "seems leery" about resting his key players and having them miss three weeks before playing again... so I'm not sure Baltimore will rest guys to start the game next week

  • Mason showed his promise and his limitations again. Doesn't read the field and isn't mobile either (though I think he has the athleticism to show at least some mobility if he could activate it. Frankly in one of his INTs against the Browns he made a very athletic tackle. Sad to say but that's how I know mobility is in there somewhere). But he is reasonably accurate, tough and has an NFL arm.
  • I hope any y'all who said "who cares about whether Duck doesn't have the arm strength, Mason doesn't either..." can see the difference between below-average and WPIAL-average.
  • Having said that Duck did make 2 great throws to close the game. Juju blew it at the end.
  • Conner looked good then got hurt.
  • JJSS is a #2 receiver. So is Diontae. Washington shows the most potential but we don't have a star in this mix. I really hope people can understand the magnitude to which Brown's presence benefitted Juju last year.
  • But I wouldn't sell out for receiver cause...
  • Our OLine play is alarming. We're in ride-or-die mode with Ben next year...maybe Mason as well if he develops. I'm worried the line is completely imploding before our eyes. Pouncey, Foster and Villeneuva especially. It's still gotta be Colbert's #1 priority this offseason by a huge margin.
  • Defensively, Minkah is a great Pro Bowl performer but the magnitude of turnovers and defensive TDs was partially luck-driven and had too many fans believing the guy was the Second Coming. I'm very happy we got him but he's also become overrated in this town quickly.

  • Boswell fantastic, Berry berry bad.

I never want to see Conner, Duck or Rudolph in a Steelers’ jerseys ever again.

Move on from these turds. Two are awful and one can’t stay healthy.

After watching this Duck lead offense these past couple of weeks, I was trying to think of the last time the Steelers had such a horrific offense...

Naturally the 2000 Kent Graham offense came immediately to mind.

He started five games and had 1 TD and a little over 800 yards passing. He moved like the tin man with arthritis and it was the most depressed I’d ever been as a Steeler fan.

Trying to remember the Jim Miller era... he’s the only other guy I can think of as bad as Duck and Graham.

I wanted them to win the offseason via draft, they couldn't even do that right.

They kinda did.

As they showed they are too good to be in a position to draft a player of the calibre of Fitzpatrick. So by trading the first and going at worst 8-8 they did indeed 'win the offseason via draft' as much as could be hoped for. Yes, the picks after number one will be lower, but that would have been the case even had they not made the trade. They still would have won enough to be picking at best in the middle of the round.

Colbert basically has to start from scratch with this offense.

We need a QB, RB, #1 WR, tight end, fullback, and start to replace the OL.

Bell and Brown covered a lot of weaknesses.

Personnel isn’t the problem on offense, it’s coaching. Sure, they could upgrade at RB and TE, and acquire a better backup QB, but none of that matters if Randy Fichtner remains in charge of the offense or Tomlin lets Ben dictate who is the OC.

Duck, is a hack.

Rudolph is a kid with promise, there is absolutely no reason to not keep him as the back-up behind Ben next season, you know, like he still should be until he learns more, which he's shown he has potential to grow into something more. In the meantime, you look at other options, via the draft, etc and if someone is good in the later rounds that they can take a risk on, cool.

Your gloom and doom takes are just...yeah.
