I'm on the fence for KP. But in fairness to him this is not a team a rookie can be successful on currently. Ben walked into a great situation.

That's More of the reason I want at minimum a new OC this bye week and see what can be fixed.

I'm willing to see if he's worth building with but its futile without good structure around him. Not like brining in say Stroud next year would change what it currently is

Literally no one on this team is doing well.

Not one aspect of the team isn’t a disaster.

Can’t pass.

Can’t run.

Can’t stop the run.

Can’t stop the pass.

Can’t line up properly.

They can’t even f***ing lineup right on the kickoff!

The players are calling out the coaching.

The players are calling out each other.

Cam Heyward, the most respected leader on the team is telling us the team isn’t prepared well.

The offense has now scored 20 points once in the last 21 games since last season.

It’s a dysfunctional mess and the finger points back to Tomlin.

His solution is to keep talking about “doing what it takes to fix it”, “turning over all stones” and “keeping a cap on it”.

Yet they keep trotting out the same old shit. It’s all just words and BS from Tomlin.

Example:

I wanted the Steelers to draft Lamar Jackson his draft year. We passed and the Ravens drafted him a couple of picks later.

The Ravens completely redid their offense to build the offense around his skills. They drafted to match his skills.

Can you imagine if the Steelers had listened to my wants and had taken Jackson? They could not adapt a can of tomato soup into tomato soup.

For a team w a lot of younger players, there appears to be little to no ongoing learning and improvement week to week. Better technique, better game IQ and so on. That’s on the coaches.
I think the last time I heard any Steeler talk about how much they were learning, it was when Lebeau was still here.
I go back to what najee said last year. He asked to watch tape with tomlin and was laughed off

its ridiculous the only QB's you see above Ben as far as career statistics are Manning and Brady, I think Brees has him in one or two as well but other than that..
It's almost like it has more to do with the time period they played in than their actual ability

What are you trying to say? That they played in an era was offense was easy to come by?
If that's the case, then what do you see in the year 2022? It's practically flag football

Tomlin wanted Lamar he also wanted Hurts they fit what he wants from the QB spot. It’s why he loved Fields but no way would AR2 sign off on that type of Qb he preferred a young Allen or Ben and no way does Ben not snap if they take Lamar in round 1 he flipped about a 3rd round MR that year

They seriously need to bench Najee. Warren is getting over 5 YPC in the same scheme behind the same OL. Start him
I did laugh at Warren taking a shot at Najaee saying he isn’t a dancer or an east west runner

You really believe that the Steelers would have completely redesigned their offense to take advantage of what Jackson does best? After the last year and a half especially?

THIS guy is going to adjust the entire offense to fit one player? THIS GUY?

108 carries 361 yards, 3.3 YPC with Najee
82 carries 398 yards 4.9 YPC for all non-Najee carries.

The steelers run offense is not Najee’s problem. Najee is the problem with the steelers run offense.

No that’s why AR2 stepped in. AR2 didn’t want a run only Qb. I also don’t think they would bring in the guy who designed the Kap offense in San Francisco. I think they would forced Lamar to actually develop as passer

It's not only that Najee sucks. Warren is legitimately good.

Frustrated because they reached 2 years in a row in the first round when they had so many other holes in the roster. I wouldn't be surprised to see the trifecta of draft stupidity and now reach for a OT, even though its not looking like a great OT class.

There are some O-Line prospects rated top ten. Things can change of course.

That said this team simply has enough needs that they can go a few directions depending on where they pick. They will certainly be top ten. If top five they are in a great position to either take one of the couple of supposddly elite quarterbacks if Pickett is a bust. Or trade back a few spots and gain some picks.

Hopefully, for the players’ sake, some guys here get traded to real NFL teams. But Gramps Rooney didn’t make in season trades - I won’t hold my breath.

You can tell who the baseball and hockey people are. NFL teams generally don't "sell off" during a down year. Few will be traded because that's not how NFL roster management operates
