Finishing the game…..no one does anything! The roles seem all over the place. The only bench guy who seemingly knows his role is Niang, which is damning with faint praise.

Harrell is a sieve (known), but he’s done zilch offensively. Melton has given Thybulle production without the momentous highs — I liked him with Harden and Maxey in preseason, although that’s small. He has not shown well as even a secondary handler; I know he’s good, but his role needs to be quick strike and defense. House has existed. It’s a bunch of guys who aren’t shooting the 3 and can’t dribble. There’s definitely chem issues with spacing and cuts. But woof. How about a smidgen of usage adjustment?

Melton is about the only new guy that’s been even a little bit impressive. Tucker is averaging 4.7 ppg, essentially Matisse with less defense. I hope the Sixers aren’t paying him $33 million for that.

Well, Tucker probably will average in the 6-7 ppg range as a starter. The difference between him and Matisse is Tucker has real gravity as a corner shooter, which does aid spacing. To Matisse's credit, the lack of an off-ball cutter has been an issue. But there's just a lot of standing still, without even catch and shoots.

At least they look like they have a clue on offense tonight. Much more active. More intensity in general.

Harris has a pretty thankless role, but he has been absolutely letting it fly from deep. Not even just the attempts but the zero hesitation on tighter coverage. He’s rewired his brain.

As for Harden…..

That was an awful foul call by the refs but Simmo the savage is still hilariously bad

Does Canada still have the vaccine requirement? Matisse or no Matisse tonight? (not that it matters a whole lot)

So many invisible men from the bench each night, besides Melton. The better part of this game was Pick on PJ, with them scheming him "defending" Siakam (Doc loves him some vets getting cooked on stars). They've struggled all season with perimeter D; and then they help and get exposed. Harris and PJ have been ass, but shots were sort of available. The Raps are pesky defensively, but it hasn't only been this game where the Sixers don't manufacture easy 3s to guys who let 'em rip. Just serious problems on both ends.
