I keep seeing (not here) people talking about Wemby’s FIBA time as a low level of competition. The intimation is that we would know if he went to college. Friends, D1 is in the toilet. It’s a talent-deprived, watered down set of conferences with coaches who are well over a decade behind the times on average.

You don’t want to look at the most productive NCAA players and determine much of anything. You’ve basically had 3 NBA stars who truly destroyed college in the last ~15 years. And that 3 counts Zion. The rest of the list is fugly.

Tobi’s dad is also his agent. Which makes him a great dad and agent.

We haven’t had a good nutty dad in a while. I wonder what Mr. Okafor is up to these days.

Nurse needs to get these guys to pass to one another and focus on winning, instead of numbers for their contracts. Unfortunately, last year in TO, he couldn't...or wouldn't stop FVV and Siakam from hijacking the offense every possession. And Raps fans have turned on FVV due to his pounding the bball every possession. Let's see what Nurse does now.

He's not wrong. Maxey is occasionally a victim of that as well.

I mean it was patently obvious Rivers' lazy coaching didn't help Harris' cause. I am still not sold on him being consistent come playoffs but Sixers and Nurse have really no choice but to help him earn his salary by maximizing his usage....we'll see what Nurse can scheme up and if it makes a difference with Harris when it counts. Dude pads his stats and it's his fault when he botches layups..not the coach. "Assassins"don't typically need help when it comes to their craft....

What's ironic is many of the issues you guys post, are the same ones Raps fans have. Both want a faster pace, ball movement, PLAYER MOVEMENT.

Having a PG walk the ball up while 3 guys stand around and one moves to get his iso or the PG shoots....is such boring bball to watch. At least you guys have Embiid to watch.

Nurse quit on the team this year. Hope you guys get contender coach Nurse and not the version we had last year. Nurse doesn't scheme much on offense. He let's the leaders do what they want. On defense is where he wants to focus.

To Doc's credit, he constantly preached ball and body movement. For that matter, so did Brett Brown. But Embiid has always been a ball-stopper and Harden just adds to the problem.

Pace and space is not something you will see with Embiid or Harden. Not sure how much Nurse is gonna change that....especially with Harden who basically had very little interest in being a distributor full time despite Rivers' protestations. Harris and Harden are definitely two players that wanted Rivers canned.

I thought I read somewhere that Harden wanted to push the pace more but with Embiid, you can't do that.

Maybe I am wrong.

Nurse will get you guys to gamble for more steals knowing Embiid is back there to cover. Raps did it with no one to cover...lol.

I'm very interested to see this narrative at play. Because Nurse was known as an offensive coach before he joined the Raptors. It's possible he's just adaptable to the roster given. There's only so much you can scheme for a bunch of not overly skilled big athletes.
