Quickley is about to get 4/100+, so I would imagine that only makes sense if another big acquisition is coming in. It would lock them out of cap space next year.
Yeah, I don’t see the fit with the Knicks at all.

Really from either teams perspective.

Very early, but since these talks have apparently been going on for a few days, I’d be shocked if this isn’t some kind of PG/Powell for JH/Tobi deal.

Morey has ~87 MM in expirings in genuinely good players to work with now in a world where the new CBA is causing long-term cap panic. I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen. The final trade(s) could end up involving literally any team in some form. The NBA is if nothing else fun.

I keep wondering if Trae Young shakes free.

I thought you were a fellow true degen.

Give me 9 team trades that require multiple whiteboards to suss out.
I don’t think I’d be interested in Trae. I mean, Harden‘s D was bad but when he actually tried it was ok. I don’t think you can say that about Trae.

He’s got to be better than one of the worst defenders in the league, yes. He doesn’t have to be good. I’m not sure he has to be acceptable. Normal bad is fine if he gets back to what he used to be offensively.

The list of guys talented enough to win multiple playoff series by themselves is tiny. Young’s on my list.

Where did you see this? Seems weird that he would do them the favor of opting in if they played hardball with him like that.

I'm not sure of where he actually said it, but the aggregators picked it up from Shams.

He wants to get paid. He can't get to a contender and get paid unless it's a trade.

How valuable do you think Harden really is in a trade?

Wildhorst apparently said Kyrie is a possibility. On the court, I get it. But. Yeah.

I think he's still a very good (not great) player. I think him being an expirer in this particular CBA year is a big advantage if you want to take back vet pieces. Teams now have to avoid the second apron like the plague. This means I have absolutely no feel for who is available. And who is available will determine the return more than Harden himself.
