All I kept reading on the mainboards was how the Oilers only have a chance at a wild card spot. Well they're 6 points back of the Kings, and 10 back of Vegas with 3 games in hand. I think they have their sights set a little bit higher than a wild card spot.

DR with another quiet but solid game. He’s such a dependable player.

I thought Ceci had a good game. He’s a good defenseman but I just think the Oilers would be more well rounded with a rock solid defender in that spot. To his credit Ceci has changed his game to remain a good NHL defenseman but he’s not really built on a strong defensive foundation, it’s something he’s had to learn and work at and because of that it can be hard to sustain constantly. We need a guy who’s a naturally an intelligent defender.

Was Desharnais hurt at the end? Seemed to have left off the ice pretty quickly and didn't see him celebrating with the team. Someone was running around at the end, Hathaway I assume?

It's amazing that they are still a point out despite going 14-3, just shows how big the hole was that they dug themselves.
I have a feeling that we'll be looking less at Nashville, Arizona, St. Louis etc. over time and more at L.A., Vegas and Vancouver.

The other thing it shows is how important it was not to let the Woodcroft fiasco continue any longer than they did. Had they let it go on for another month at a time when so many thought a change was unnecessary they wouldn’t have had enough time left to climb out of that hole.

We watch on mute most nights unless something crazy happens. Then we turn the volume back up.

Skinner now has a 11-2-0 record in his last 13 games with a 0.923 SV% in that span. He's been getting it done back there.
