Congrats to all of the folks who did the Rock N Roll half/marathon today. We lucked up with some great weather this morning.
Mid-TN boys showed up for sureI guess a series against Vanderbilt was what the Vols needed to wake up.
The QB class this year is weird. I'd stay away from CJ Stroud for sure, I'm not sold on any of them other than the Alabama QB and even he is so undersized, but he's going 1st overall, I imagine Levis is also top 3 after that though, are any of them top 15 type QBs?NFL Draft week. Any thoughts on what the Titans might do? I'm starting to lean Bijan Robinson personally, assuming he's still on the board at #11 (or later if they decide to trade down). Not necessarily a fan of drafting RB that high anymore but this guy is supposedly one of those rare talents that might be worth it plus this draft seems to be relatively week overall. Not to mention it gives you a cost-controlled Henry replacement for 5 years plus 2 franchise tag option years. Then try to find some good Oline in the later rounds.
This still doesn't solve the largest long term issue for the Titans, which is the QB position. I think next year's draft class has some real deal QB talent and wouldn't be opposed to trading or cutting Tannehill while letting us enjoy the Malik Willis tankathon show for a season.
I wouldn't touch Hooker either. I'd take a flyer on the kid from Houston or the kid from BYU but only in later rounds.Maybe its the Vols homer in me if he's still around in the 2nd round I'd take a chance on Hooker. Other than that I'd pass on pretty much any other QB in this draft.

I just didn't think Levi's was top 3 overall material. Will be cool if he does well. The QB class this year is weird. Richardson is an interesting player. Off the charts athletic, S2 testing was positive, but he has very little experience.OL. Peter Skoronski from Northwestern or Paris Johnson from Ohio State.
But it's the Titans so they will probably trade up to take Anthony Richardson
Agreed. Is THIS the QB class you want to sell your future for? I know it's a new path with Ran, but historically we've never faired well drafting by need. I really like drafting the best player available at any position in the 1st. If those things overlap, all the better, but we've drafted some really average players because we needed them and it turned out exactly how you'd expect. The problem I have for stretching for some of these qbs is that if we take one this year it likely boxes us out for the next 2-3 years. I don't think any of these guys we might be able to actually get are worth that level of draft capital. If they don't want to go with Bijan then I'd rather just take best OL available and move on.
I am a Florida fan that watched Richardson play all year. His upside is undeniable. I'll say the thing that bothered me was how much he seemed to mail it in when it was clear the team wasn't contending for much this year. It looked like self preservation mode by mid way in the season. His accuracy was meh, but receiving group was awful so it's difficult to know where that issue is. He also stayed banged up more than you'd hope for a guy that will need to play 17(+ more) games in the NFL.
If I am sitting in my fresh GM chair I am really thinking hard if these are the guys that are likely going to dictate the length of my career. It's easy to see how things can spiral if we trade a haul of picks for someone like Levis, only for him to turn into Blaine Gabbert. Ran might not get another crack at picking a high QB. I am not sure I would want to use that card just yet if I were him.
I will say I have watched a lot of ball. I can't think of a more athletic QB I have ever watched at the college level. I'll also say I wouldn't take him unless he falls to us at our pick and other targets are gone and we don't get a big offer to move back. I don't have the appetite for that risk/reward.The upside is why I think I’d rather have Richardson out of any of the possible trio that might be available to the Titans. He could be a total bust. Or he could end up as some type of Lamar/Allen/Newton combo. If the Titans believe that level of upside is reasonably within his range of outcomes then I will understand it if they take him.
I'm a Patriots fan thus most will ignore my opinion, and I say the Titans should trade DOWN, build up their depth, and draft Hooker.
