Tennessee will probably beat Bama and Kentucky (at Rupp) next week just because it's that kind of season.

As good as we are going, I am not expecting us to win in Knoxville. I will take it gladly but not expecting it. It will be a war

As a life long die hard Bama basketball fan, I am just soaking in every minute of this season (and really the last 3 seasons).

Preds and Bama basketball are 2 of my top 3 sports passions, and I am grateful that Bama basketball is on a huge upswing to help me through the Preds current situation- lol. For many of the past 10 years or so it has been the Preds way ahead of Bama bball, but that is definitely not the case anymore.

Preds winning Cup and Bama bball making final 4 are my two bucket list items I want to experience before I die- almost got the Preds in 2017, hopefully will have a chance at the other this year.

this year will probably be your best chance with Miller going top 10 in the NBA draft this year and alabama should be a #1 seed in the tourney. should have only 1 match up with a top 25 team before the elite 8 and that’s without any upsets.

As much as it pains me to say it I do think Alabama will have other chances as long as Oats is there. I suspect at some point a blue blood will come calling and try and poach him though (maybe even Kentucky this offseason). Will be interesting to see if they are willing and able to keep him around if that happens.

Yep- as long as we have Oats we are going to be good as long as he is here. I have always been worried about losing him, but Bama just extended him and increased his $$. He is now in the top 10 paid coaches in all of college basketball. And by all accounts he seems to love it here and loves the fact that he is building something here and can do things that have never been done at Alabama.

None of that means he definitely won't leave, but I am at least a little more optimistic we can keep him for awhile

Oh yeah, this is definitely the best chance we have probably ever had (at least since 1987). But no matter how good your team is it is still a long shot. I just want to get to the Sweet 16 and then take our chances. But even that is no gurantee. Last year at this time Auburn was #1 in the nation and Kentucky was top 5. And Kentucky went out in round 1 and Auburn in round 2. You just never know

I'll be curious to see what Calipari does. I dont think UK will fire him, but he may decide to leave. Problem is right now hes got the best recruiting class coming next year hes had in ages and most of them will bolt if he does..

Georgia mercifully puts Kentuckys NCAA chances to bed today so BBN can start obsessing over Cals job

Vols lose again on a second straight buzzer beater. Which means we’re definitely going to miraculously beat Bama on Wednesday now.

At least it’s almost college baseball season now where UT well known as the best team in the state.

Listen, you know my ties to UT and how much I'm pulling for them, however, UT is not the well known best team in the state, One team in the state has won 2 national championships in the last decade, and it's not UT, but you knew that, you're just gaslighting Gnash.....dd

I know kids on both teams, so I'm neutral.

They've been calling that all year. People can be mad about it all they want but don't grab a guy's jersey if you don't want a flag. He got beat off the line and hoping the refs would swallow the whistle was the only chance he had. They didn't swallow the whistle.

The craziest thing about that game though was that Jalen Hurts was basically the MVP for both teams. Had he not had that insane no assist fumble that was recovered for a TD they might have been en route to a 2 TD lead.

Hate that fumble for Hurts because otherwise he was absolutely fantastic.

Really the difference in the game was KC basically got 14 'free" points. The fumble scoop and score and the long punt return. If either of those 2 things don't happen, Philly probably wins the game.

And also the Eagles D crapped the bed- did not get a single stop the entire 2nd half.

Just don't like games of that magnitude basically ending on a Refs whistle. It would be no different than calling a slash with 2 minutes left to go in Game 7 of the SCF. Sure it might be the right call but no one wants to see it decided on a penalty call.

Yep I didn't like that it happened but also understand why they called it. I guess what i'm more annoyed by is the "KC always gets the call narrative!" (which you did not imply just pointing it out as a narrative that I've seen popping up)

Totally unrelated to the last play but definitely related to the KC performance in the 2nd half, check out this breakdown by Orlovsky:

Once I saw Bama get the number one ranking I knew it was over for them. Road game against a rival that’s lost 3 of the last 4 all to not great teams is a guaranteed loss in college basketball.

Everyone saw that coming. He hasn't been the same since getting popped for PEDs a few years back.

Robert Woods and Randy Bullock released as well

It’s is. Bitter sweet really.
I know the feeling. Our next door neighbors son and my stepson played soccer together from like U8 until they graduated. The next fall we were both looking at each other like "what do we do now? Its Thursday, we should be at the field..."
