My sister in law who is a Nurse Practioner said she thinks it was probably " trauma induced lethal arrhythmia ". She explained it essentially as a condition where you just get hit at the exact wrong moment and everything just goes haywire.

Not good if so.

She also called it " Commotio Corrdis". @PredsV82 may be able to expand on it more.

Where do you even have these discussions? I know a lot of Vols fans. I don’t know any of them who could tell me anything about the baseball program.
I live near Knoxville and even the local media was talking trash last season. But Twitter and Facebook were full of garbage posts last year. Basically the Vols were the Greatest Team ever and anyone disagreeing didn’t know baseball. Most of the people posting that crap couldn’t name the coach before Vitello. As I said they were equal to Blackhawks “fans” in 2011 that couldn’t name any player besides Kane or “Toes”. It was funny reading their posts as they trolled the VandyBoys accounts with the “you have never won anything” crap.

You’re basing your opinion on the fans on Facebook and Twitter? Ever been to the Preds Facebook?

A Bills player collapsed on the field and they had to do CPR on him. ☹️
My wife is a Bills fan, so she had the game on. I ran down the basement to throw some laundry in during a commercial. I came back about 4 or 5 minutes later and she tells me that "Hamlin is down, so the game has stopped. You know, the guy who replaced Micah Hyde." (Hyde came from the Packers) I couldn't believe the next 30 minutes. The UC logo on the ambulence and the trip to the UC Medical Center.

That hospital didn't exist when I was a student on the Main Campus. The nurses and doctors-to-be used to go to Christ Hospital for experience, which is about a mile closer to downtown and the stadium. That place was about 100 years old when I graduated. My next door neighbor in the dorm used to draw blood there in the morning. The UC hospital looks really new and modern. In the old days, it was the Medical School campus and the Blood Center. They used to call the dorms for blood donors. I could walk over in about 10 minutes.

I hope that Hamlin pulls through, but I suspect it will take some time.

I know I'm old but I swear years ago the play the titans just ran where the QB sneak got the first down because the fullback just pushed him from behind was illegal.

Aaaand now the Titans get screwed.....

Should have just kept running Henry and if they dont get the 1st down their D had been amazing

Hate it for Dobbs. He didn’t play great but man the play calling and offensive line play did not help him at all. How do you not try any option runs with him until the two minute drill. Hopefully he gets another starting shot in the NFL sometime.

I guess the silver lining is that the draft pick position is pretty massive and they would have likely gotten run in the first round. Plus they still get to play in the AFC South next season.

Jax is the team to beat in the South going forward. Still an easier division than the alternatives but no longer a cakewalk

Maybe? The Titans were down to scrubs and still probably should have won that game. Either way, being the best in that division right now isn’t saying much. Titans have a really tough decision to make for next season. Are they going to give it one more go? If they can just stay healthy I think they have one more chance left in the tank. Otherwise they should just start Willis and suck for whoever the next big qb might be.

You have a new GM and it appears the owner decided to flex her muscles during all of that. Who knows what she will decide. I think they know they will still have a shot at the division. Pretty much every team but Jacksonville needs a new QB which is going to keep things open.

Do you bring Tannehill back?

Lewan is gone, Cunningham is gone, unfortunately Ben Jones likely gone.

What's the biggest need at the draft? Oline? QB? DB? LB?

Seems like the entire offensive line needs to be addressed.

I’m a big believer that line on both sides of the ball are the most important elements of a successful team. Qb is next. The Titans dline core is strong. I think they should set out to build up the oline as priority in the upcoming draft. They’re going to have to figure out qb eventually though but I think that’s not going to happen in time for next season.

We were actually just taking about this today at the bar I was watching my game. It did used to be illegal. They changed the rule and it is now legal to get behind the runner and push him.

I looked it up and in 2005-2006 the rule of pushing was basically just scrapped and they let pushing be legal (I actually thought it was more recently changed). It's still illegal to pull the runner, but you can get behind and push.

It hasn't really been until the last few years that teams have actually been using the tactic on specific play calls.

Tannehill comes back...he's $18 million in dead cap if you cut him.
Cut Lewan freeing up $14 million.
Draft Skoronski at 11

You cut Tanne because you want to lose. The dead cap for a year is a benefit if that is the strategy.

Amy probably heard Vrabel state earlier today that he was going to evaluate his staff. I'll bet she immediately got on the phone and told Vrabel the evaluation has been done, get rid of them or the new GM will be looking for a head coach.
